Super Bowl Betting Pool – Patriots vs Seahawks (How Payouts Work)
We’ll be running a Super Bowl betting pool using a parimutuel system. This allows players to bet different amounts while keeping payouts fair and straightforward.
How it works:
Bet any amount on either the New England Patriots or the Seattle Seahawks
All bets go into one total pot
After the game, 100% of the pot is paid out to players who picked the winning team
Your payout is based on the percentage of money you contributed to the winning side
Comment below with who you’d like to bet on and the amount. You must have at least that amount in your bank before submitting your bet.
Example:
Total pot: $50,000,000
Total bet on Patriots: $20,000,000
Total bet on Seahawks: $30,000,000
If the Patriots win and you bet $1,000,000 on them:
You contributed $1,000,000 / $20,000,000 = 5% of the winning side
You receive 5% of the $50,000,000 pot
Payout: $2,500,000
Net profit: $1,500,000
Why this system:
Bigger bets = bigger payouts
Smaller bets still scale fairly
No preset odds
No house cut — the entire pot goes back to players
Once your bet has been placed, no take backs, however you can increase your bet up until the start of the Superbowl if you grow bigger nuts!
