I'm defending his choice of words. It's a perfectly fine choice of words. Depending on the exact rule, maybe it would be slightly misleading.

That is indeed a screenshot of some of what I said. What is the question @ Parker R ?

The report you made was for FailRP shooting someone who is tased. The admin accepted the initial report because it did look like FailRP from your POV, we agreed with your report. The player created an appeal and showed his POV, and made it reasonably clear he wasn't trying to kill you while tased, that he was shooting at movement in the area from a reasonable distance away, wasn't able to see the tase, was shooting at the other player in the area, and just so happened to hit you with an unlucky stray bullet.

We have it in the supplemental rules as " While, generally, hostages should not be killed without a specified reason, accidents happen and are allowable."
      and
"Accidentally shooting a hostage while trying to kill a nearby player is acceptable."

To be fair I think I wrote that bit so its me interpreting my interpretation, but a different admin made the same call before the ticket was ever given to me, I just agree with their ruling.

It was ruled as accidental crossfire instead of intentional fail RP, so the "Its" in my reply on the ticket refers to killing someone who is tased, and yes If its accidental, its not a rule break.

The level of humbility, and objectivity that @ David Miller strives for proves that he is one of, and perhaps the, best admin on Olympus. He regularly criticizes himself to people he is talking to, then addresses that criticism, then moves on. The maturity in that action nigh incomprehensible, not just for Olympus, but for everything. He is kind, and understanding to other people as well, which let's him actually understand all the multiple perspectives to any given situation, and feel what it is like for each separate player in complex engagements.

We don't deserve him. I play Olympus Forums and Olympus Altis Life Rules because I like poking holes in things. David Miller doesn't design things so that holes can't be poked into things, but he designs them so that I don't even feel the desire to because it's just well made.

Normally when I see something, I think the whole structure is rotten so I start peeling of the individual panels so I can get to the structures framing. David Miller designed it so that the structure its self is well laid out, and strong. Even with a bunch of bad panels, the structure still holds strong because who cares? It's designed well so that it can still handle the bad parts. Maybe I could fix a few things here and there, but at it's core it's good.

      Thank you.
