  1. I think recently it hasn't been as much of a problem. I mean I along with several others did a BW and I think it was 5 seniors on to go against. It's very difficult in this situation, but most of the time if it's spread out, there is only 3-4 cops per area. If they have 3 guys to process, then that leaves one to watch entrances and such. That can be very difficult in most HQ's. That is why instead of invincible handcuffs. Make it so that you need to lock pick the entrance to the door of only the processing hut. This would require lots more than just a random rookbanger to get you out. Would require a team of people to break someone out. I think that the HQ should be a little more secure. Someone can sneak in while a freshspawn is distracting the cops or something and just sneak around to a hut and shoot the guy, and you'll never even know he was there. It seems actually easy as long as it's not when all the cops on the server are in an HQ together. I honk this can solve any chance of an easy breakout. Cops should be more aware like talindor said, but people shouldn't just have a concealed rook, urn in and be able to shoot a guy in less than 5 seconds. That is just dumb tbh.
  2. Yup... it really shouldn't be easy. If i can break someone out of apd custody with anything below 5.56, then something's wrong. People are broken out by pistols, that... that is real dumb. Should be hard.
  3. Not really. It's quite easy if you have even 3 people. Other than Sofia HQ, every HQ you can shoot at HQ then have two people sneak up below a tower, Rudy it, and if you're not garbage you'll have a tower under control. Then one person stays in the tower, the other goes for the guy and the guy outside pushes into another position in HQ to provide cover. If there's 3 cops, one's dead, one is probably in the other tower, and one's in the hut with your friend. That one guy goes to the huts and should if he's good, be able to win the 1v1 with most likely a deputy or po. Then that guy runs your friend out and the other two bail out it the towers. It's really not that hard. The only reason it may be more difficult is because so many cops have been on recently for those fatty promotions. lol. On a normal day, normal situation, you should easily be able to get a guy out. Also so it shouldn't be easy btw. It should require more than a rook to get someone out. It should require skill, not winging it. When has someone ever been broken out of a police HQ while in custody. Like.... never. It should be difficult, not a breeze. I should need some good tactics, and being a man down on a breakout mission requires good tactics. If some guy has to lock pick a door, then you should have the man power and supplies to be able to complete it imo. It's an example. the number of times it happens and someone can't record, is too many to count. It happens once a day and not everyone can record. A locked door can prevent random people from getting a rook and running in with their friend at the end of the barrel. It happens far more than people realize and I think a locked door would help prevent it.
  4. I'd say 30 just cause then cops respawn if they died. Makes it a little more realistic, cops die and an alarm goes off, then backup comes. I'd say do 20 if it wasn't a guarantee open first try. Besides, it is like a vault door in some ways, like you can't just grab lockpicks and be able to open a highly secure police HQ door. You have to be good or try multiple times. Idk just an idea.
  5. How about, instead of a magical feature that prevents people from being brought in, we put a logical thing in place to help prevent it. 1. A lockable door on the huts in HQ. Having a cool hut with jail bars and a computer is useless if it doesn't stop the person from being broken out. A locked door is logical because there would be one irl. Make it lockpickable, takes as much time as a car alarm and works like a car factory settings insurance, in that it may take multiple times. Throw up a notification or lark at the door for cops to know if someone's breaking in. A lot of times these things happen is because there's not enough cops on for the amount of random civs that go in. If there's five civs in Kavala and two of them are a vigi with a restrained guy and the other 3 are turning themselves in, then it's easy for one guy with a rook to sneak in and shoot the guy in custody. 2. Or, put a bulletproof window of some sort in processing huts so the guy can't be shot through it. And, if some guys not behind the wall, and gets shot, no matter how obvious it was, it's the apd's fault for not utilizing the tools they have at their disposal. both of these options can reduce the amount people would be breaking rules. If some guy is lock picking the door, and it opens and a guy comes in and shoots the guy, then it would be apd's fault. Obviously if they kill the cop then with no cops around at all, shoot the guy, that would be fail-rp, but otherwise, it would not be fail rp since cops had an ample amount of time to react to the situation. Just some ideas that could help reduce the amount/likelihood of a guy getting shot in cuffs at HQ. I and others have thought this is a good idea, and I think this should be thoroughly considered as it would also make processing huts more useful, and make things more realistic. Btw, I like option 1 the best.

Yeah, it is rp, but since it is required to say that stuff by rule, it kind of isn't really. Roleplay, I think, is doing more than required to do. If a cop does only what is required, L.I.S.T. and being done with it, isn't really rp imo. I would tell them to explain charges, or scold them for something they did. Doing only what's required by rule is not breaking rules/fail rp, it's just not really rping, it's just getting through it at bare minimum. I btw don't care about vigi's, I like them cause they are able to keep the wanted list smaller. And I agree, rebels get upset being caught by vigi's cause they don't rp much, but really, rebels almost never rp, they just say hands up or die, then rob you of your stuff, or just kill you to get their bounty up. That's not rp. But yeah, I don't care about vigi's, if they want to rp with me, ok, if they don't, whatever. Obviously I'll be upset if they break rules, but that doesn't happen that often. Whatevs, vigi's keep having fun annoying the shit out of the majority of the server.

Also, don't forget that rp is kind of pointless with a vigilante. They can't lower a ticket, or give you a pardon, or anything a cop can do. Maybe you can send them money but then you would still have your bounty and would be able to get vigi'd by someone else, or by the same person. But, they could make it more interesting I do agree. Also, like cops, reading charges and then sending to jail is required, which kind of makes it not really rp. If they asked why you would kill people, or why they would deal drugs to kids who are gonna die because of it, that would be rp. Doin what's required isn't really rp at all imo. I don't vigi so I don't know what I would do if I caught someone. If I know they have friends nearby, I might just send to jail, but if it's some random person, I might consider rping a little more. Kind of hard though cause you never know when or who might show up to save the guy.
  8. 1. Maybe, inside HQ's the processing huts could be locked and you would have to lock pick it to get in it unless your apd. Like a car key type of thing. Every apd has "keys" and they can open doors, like gang sheds, and they can unlock it using 'u' and then it's unlocked unless they hit 'u' to lock it again. Could help especially if there's only two or maybe three cops in an HQ where 2 cops are processing. 2. Or maybe put a wall in the processing hut, like a glass window that's bulletproof. This way when they're in their they can't be harmed from someone who runs in guns blazing. just some ideas around this, cause I do agree that this is a problem. And you say just report them, but sometimes that doesn't help since people can't record. And sometimes you end up losing millions of dollars because of one guy who then has a 30k bounty. It's not fair to cops who might have had to work really hard to get the bounty. These are potential solutions to this problem, just on the spot idea.

Vigi's aren't liked cause you don't really have a chance of getting out of it when you're caught. A lot of them don't know the rules very well, which doesn't help, and they just show up at bad times. Otherwise, i think it's cool, someone to help the cops out a little.
  10. So, I'm not at home, but I know I have 2 jacks on the back of the monitor and I have 2 on the top of the tower. I have it plugged into one of the jacks on the monitor and I can hear sound through it, but I can't use the mic on it. I'll see if I need to buy that converter or not, but I'll check when I get home in like an hour or so.
  11. Not just ts. It's everything. It's beats headphones *cringe* and indong think there's a driver needed since it works on my old computer just fine.
  12. I'm not home but I know that in the menu where I select microphone I have 3 options: microphone, line-in, and stereo mix. I don't know why, but none of them seem to work. my drivers all seem to be up to date but I don't know for sure. I think they are. yes, using windows 10 btw.
  13. Hi, so some may have seen me since I got my new computer Sunday, but I have one lasting problem that I can't seem to resolve. my headset mic doesn't work at all. My computer doesn't like, recognize my mic. I see in teamspeak that the thing lights up when I talk, but it just doesn't hear me at all, and no one hears me talking. It doesn't work in teamspeak or in game, and I don't know why. Obviously I need it to work in order to be able to play. Ive messed around with settings and stuff on my computer but nothing seems to work. I m able to listen through the headset but the mic doesn't work. Any tips at all.

  17. Didn't like cooken get rdm'd then? I don't really remember.
  18. I <3 baklava for dessert!!! It's honestly so good!!!
  19. Hhmmm. No but put a pinned post in by an admin or something that explains that blindfolds can be removed by pressing 'i' then removing the stealth balaclava from its slot. and that it will not be removed automatically when unrestrained because it can be funny RP if someone is running around blindfolded. It's very simple for people to work things out themselves, but clearly they haven't, so I think there should be a pinned thread saying "press 'i' then remove stealth balaclava thing, and no it will not be automatically taken off of you when you're unrestrained." Because people keep making threads and status updates saying they don't know how to remove their blindfolds so they surrender. then they beg the devs to have it get removed when unrestrained. BTW this sucks being moderated, like I can't just instantly respond and have a quick talk with anyone. But I guess I did something wrong to deserve it, but yeah... it sucks
  20. Can we get some mass message to people saying that if unrestrained, to remove the blindfold you press I then pull it off. People seem to not have gotten the message. Shouldn't be automatic when unrestrained cause it's really funny watching people run around like they have their head cut off. Just put a pinned post in general chit chat or something. I have already been annoyed by all the people who don't know how to take it off.
  21. *cough* meta *cough* lol, love ya dash, I didn't leave vx cause of you. <3ubb
  22. Hi I'm dangusdean, if you see this post, thank you (fill in name if you unhid this post). If you see me, feel free to rdm me if you want, I can't record anyway. I am also the forum shitter wait, I'm moderated, can't swear. If you see my posts, don't agree with them, you'll be bashed for liking my ideas. Also, I am potato at this game so if you see me, you already won the fight. The staff will tell you to always report people cause they hate dealing with bitches whiners who complain about being rdm'd. Welcome to Olympus!
  23. Nah. There was a week where all of us did feds like 4 days in a row. Some days we had 6 or 7 people and would fend off cops for several waves. Then when we thought we might lose, we left. Almost no one got caught in all of those feds we did. We had a lot of fun, especially when they used their striders and hunters against us and we still fended them off. People just need to stop being pussies and worrying about losing a fight or two. That happens. You don't see sports teams cancel a game cause they have a couple more people injured than the other team. No, they fight through the hard fight. I was on cop, and my gang fled in some quilins and was tailed the whole way by a scout plane. We never caught any of them cause they were smart about it and kept running. Then they hid from us and got picked up in a heli and left. No one got tazed, and no cops died, but it was a solid 20-25 minute chase. I had fun trying to catch them, and i bet it was fun for them. People just need to be smarter with their fights and not be pussies. So what they have 2-3 more people, if you play smart and work together, you can easily win fights.
  24. What he said. That's worked for everyone with recent ts update.
  25. Yeah, I can tell you're high... lol. But I just wish something could be given to people who donated after monetization rules. Like, we could be given a car skin or something cool. I plan to donate 50 every month hopefully for a while, and sadly, I probably won't get anything out of it i don't think.
