Bohemia's latest Arma 3 Update may have saved our ears

MY FAVORITE PART OF THE UPDATE :)

  • Added: Buttons for sorting and muting all players in the multiplayer lobby

 

Some other neat/helpful updates that will effect Altis Life

  • Added: A dry firing sound for the LIM-85 machine gun

  • Tweaked: SMGs (Sting, Vermin, PDW 2000 and Protector) can now be stored in vests as well as in backpacks. Therefore we have four distinct categories of weapons in regard to their allowed inventory storage space now:

    • Pistols: uniform, vest, backpack

    • SMGs: vest, backpack

    • Rifles: backpack

  • Tweaked: Decreased mass of SPAR-16, SPAR-16 GL and SPAR-16S weapons to better match the size and weight of their models

  • Tweaked: Mass values of the MAR-10

  • Tweaked: The MXM rifle can no longer fit into a backpack

  • Tweaked: The mass and recoil values were adjusted for the Type-115 weapon

  • Tweaked: The mass and recoil values were adjusted for the SPAR-17 weapon

  • Tweaked: Muzzle velocity of the AK-12 was decreased

  • Tweaked: The rate of fire of the Rahim weapon was slightly decreased

  • Tweaked: The Protector, SPAR-16S and SPAR-17 weapons now have proper cursor types

  • Tweaked: Volume of the rotation sound for the 6.5 mm minigun (Ghosthawk)

  • Fixed: Horizontal zeroing of the ERCO sights has been tweaked to make them more precise

You now have to be in side to see markets in side. In group to see markets from group, etc.

The good thing they did though was add a pop up with a marker creators name when you hover over it, so we can get rid of the Olympus version of the naming and finally be able to see WHO'S DRAWING ON THE FUCKING MAP IN GROUP.

OMG.  It is literally aids. I wonder if that is something Olympus can edit themselves? Because that is a huge effect on Life servers.

here's what Bohemia messed up on during that little update;

players that mute players during the load-in screen, sometimes mutes direct chat in game (rip verbal engagement ).

Player characters will at random make call outs with their voice in direct, "4 regroup, 5,6,7."

At times the groups are bugged to where you would randomly join a group. Other times when you join a group to "spy," and leave, you get automatically put back in that group.

Muting players in lobby mutes them globally, you will no longer hear them in direct chat vehicle chat etc, will cause alot of RDM reports.

I've only seen olympus get effected by this, every other server is still on the same codec as before.
