Hold Out Event (2020-06-12 @ 8PM EST)

Hold Out Event

This didn't work out very well last time, but we've made a few changes that will hopefully improve the experience. If you have additional suggestions, please post them below. Among the changes, AT offroads/slung vehicles and excessive APD armor waves are not longer allowed. Additionally, the location will be predetermined and Athira rebel will be a friendly rebel.

 

Event Description

The APD will start at the Hold Out zone. They will have 25 minutes to hold this area and are allowed to use every cop slot on the server (20 players). The APD can use anything available at their rank. If a group/gang wipes the cops in the zone, a 20 minute timer will begin. The group must hold the point for 20 minutes to win. Progress is preserved if cap is lost & regained. The group holding the point will be determined by the group with the most tagged players on the point.

 

Cop Rules

• The APD must return to the Hold Out Zone in waves
• Cannot use ghost hawks, armed planes, or armed hurons
• Up to 20 participants
• All cops must be use lethal force only (PO lethals authorized, deputies should be dropped SDARs)
• No excessive armor waves
• Cannot seize civilian vehicles

Civilian rules

• Cannot use ghost hawks, armed planes, armed hurons, AT offroads, or other slung armed vehicles
• NLR does not apply
• Can work together as a whole or in small groups/gangs (civs are strongly recommended to work together in some capacity)
• Players working together must wear a common tag (to help us tell who controls the point)
• No tasers at the holdout zone
• Vigilantes/players cannot camp the town/rebel nearest to the holdout zone
• All players within 1.5km of the zone are KOS
• Athira rebel will be friendly during the event

 

Rewards

1. Raffle
   • AT Off road [x1]
   • $2 million in game [x4]
   • 7.62 suppressor [x2]
   • 100 Warpoints [x3]
2. Money
   • 20m split between the whole gang/group or APD.

The winning team may choose to have the raffle items randomly given to players, or have the money evenly distributed. The players on the winning team will be determined by who has the tag of the winning team (no tag => no reward).

Remember this is a test run for this event. Things might be unbalanced, so feedback is welcomed & encouraged after the event!

Likely going to be another cop money farm.

Issue last time was that cops had 20 people on which no gang will be able to match along with being able to spawn fully geared within 2 KM.

2. The amount of money we’ll make per lethal is minimal, however we can just tase you and bring you back to HQ if you’d rather that how we conduct the event.

Sounds fun but 20 cops is probs a bit too much as they will be litterally sitting everywhere (in bushes etc.) like cockroaches. Other than that it’s balanced
