I mean look, man, I don't understand why you are arguing facts with me. Be critical of the server, say it's declining, or dying or whatever, I don't care, but objectively, that isn't a staff member's account and we have hit over 80 members every day in the past like 3 months, I think we peak over 100 every day.    I told you before. I gave you some evidence.  They have now also made the video evidence confidential. The reason is because it clearly shows that the staff is at fault. You can tell me this. I stand behind whatever my staff does. I will not take any action. For this reason, we believe that there is no justice. We bow down and do nothing but say "damn it".

The only thing i think is absurd is the admins that only fill the minimum quota to stay admin but are never here and when you get ban by them theres no way to communicate with them..

Tbf Winters is probably the second most consistent ticket guy since I joined staff. He gets on and does them pretty much every day. It’s more than a lot of admins we have had in the past

Free the people who actually care. 2  players of the top 5 most played time are perm banned… what does that say about the server. 
sovereign had the most qualifications to become an admin on the server. She cares about upholding the rules and holding people accountable. She has top 5 most hours on the server and close to no bans yet she was spurned whereas someone like Clark who acts extremely obsequious was accepted lol. 
why would anyone want to play a server when the staff is entirely influenced and motivated by cliques lol

Sov quite seriously banned herself and hasn't asked to come back as far as I know.

I can understand the point of view, but where exactly are we supposed to get unpaid volunteers willing to do 300+ tickets a week between them, that aren't allowed to play, and still expect them to have a working knowledge of the game? especially if the server is about to end.

We are not saying that admins do not have the right to play like any (normal player), but we say that when he wants to play, he cannot use his abilities as an admin in the game, such as reviving friends ..Ghost mod , etc. Also, the bias against a gang because he really hates it because it is not American. I personally used to play on a German server because I am from Germany, but this server banned all players who do not speak German. That is why I left this server out of racism.

In any case, you should restructure the game supervisors. Because it is stupid to play against supervisors who are guaranteed to win or outperform us.

Im not gonna talk ill of Sovereign because even with all the disagreements we had I do agree with you that she was pretty intelligent and cared about the server but there are some very obvious reasons her being staff would have been a bad idea. If we bent to every person who felt spurned by the server there would be no server. Nothing is stopping her from appealing her perm ban, she was obviously not serious and I would +1 her coming back, but its her decision not to come back, and I don't begrudge her that.

This is the boy who cried wolf of racism. Why is everything a racist issue? It's the internet, no one would know what race you are unless you tell them.

 

Im impressed you can go into every single fed that has occurred over the past year and say for certain the only people who were able to win were admins, because even with logs access I can't do that. Both our arguments are anecdotal, the difference is mine comes with the ability to watch feds, and I'm saying plenty of non-admin groups are capable of winning a fed, big gangs can remove their admins, and they would still win feds.

The argument that admins disproportionately influence feds is a fair argument, but you guys don't want to have fair arguments, you want to throw wild baseless accusations as facts, and call racism when someone disagrees.

I wish we could find 2-3 people who could do the amount of tickets @ -dante-  does, day after day, week after week, year after year, and are willing to do it for no pay, no perks, like @ Milo are completely free of bias like @ Bubbaloo - Reusable P Cup , never play with gangs, and yet still know how gangs function, and how feds work, and conquest. even those 3 will probably tell you Dante doesn't want to do the amount of tickets he does every week, milo enjoys his perks, and Bubbaloo is perfect anyone who says otherwise is wrong. 

If you find those 3  perfect people, I am sure they would do a fantastic job as a staff team and I would happily step aside to let them. Meet me on planet Earth about our expectations, please.

I haven't really chimed in on one of these posts before but would like to put out two things:

1. I don't believe we have any actually racist staff members.
2. I don't believe the server is currently dying.

Although David has summed it up really well, I would like to expand on both of the above.

For the first one, I can say having access to internal administrative discussion; there hasn't been anyone that has ever spoke to me or said anything about banning anyone over race. I think one of the trickiest thing our administration team has dealt with in the past and continues to deal with is being on the same page. Every once in a while someone will either make a decision that only half of us agree with or where we discuss something we never have before and we debate on which is the best way to handle something. We all try to be on the same page at the end of the day but realistically sometimes people face bans for things other may not just due to varying admin discretion; or perhaps even just a personal mistake. I think this can also be caused by discretion for ban lengths too. I probably give out way more warnings than I should where as another admin may see it as "if I ban them then they can just put in an appeal so we can have a discussion about it".

For the second one, I like to remind people that this server has not only survived (but for the most part thrived) for the better part of more than 10 years. When I first began playing the server 10ish years ago I was 14 years old. If you'd have asked me whether this server would exist in 10 years I would have said heck no and would have talked about Arma 4 haha. Over the course of these years that server has experienced a crap load of hardships before where people talk about it "being the end" or that "the server is dying". The largest was in 2018 where the gaming community Asylum even made a joking video about Olympus going under with a flat heartbeat of the Olympus logo "dying". Not only did we not die then, we have out performed the community significantly these past couple of years. Although the game itself has been on a decline with it being old, I don't really believe the server is dying.

That being said I do recognize that there has been a lower relative player count as of recently. Looking at it objectively, if I had to say the largest struggle we have been seeing recently is that Bohemia has been (unintentionally) kinda been bending us over with their updates. They will push them out and we will have little preparation as to what is actually in them and sometimes they will break things that we are physically incapable of fixing. That's why in this past month lag has been higher and we were dealing with people having issues loading in. We've made a lot of changes to increase network performance, optimize the client and reduce lag over the past few months.

We do appreciate our Turkish and other ethnic players and enjoy having them here as regulars
