Over the years as medic, its been ingrained that when we are told to "Leave or Die" we do so in the quickest way possible, if not preferably by redeploying. TBH, a few years ago not redeploying aka trying to leave in heli or car would have gotten medics killed by APD during Kav fights. If you required they leave in another fashion, it should have been in the instructions and threat of life. I get losing a kit sucks, but the line is and always has been for medics to value their life and unless there is very clear and precise communication with the medic, and even then, there are very few guarantees, the medic is in the right for steering clear and leaving in the fastest way possible. It seems you both were on civ and are upset by this, but I know and you both know that if you were on cop this would have been expected and exactly the actions you wanted a medic to take. There are few times in life when you can have your cake and eat it too, but being a dick and trying to press someone who was not in the wrong for money is stupid. I think you both owe Wywy and the entire medic faction an apology, kids. I'm a little disappointed, you both know better, use your brains.

Given the information in the thread.. I'd have to agree with most of what others are saying. If you told medic to "Get in the car or die" and he redeployed, then I'd understand. But telling him to leave or die was directly trying to exclude him from the situation. 

 

For anything, if I told a medic to leave or die, and I seen him redeploy; I'd be happy knowing he was completely out of the situation and not being a rat lol

I was gonna write a post saying exactly this. I'd agree this was a server rule break but given the directive was "leave or die", makes the entire situation kinda petty. The medic did what he thought was best in this situation, even if it was technically wrong. The server wouldn't be a very fun place to play if we did ban on petty stuff like this.

Technically you are right. Redeployment system cannot be used when engaged. He must had to spawn a vehicle and go away instead of redeploying. At the other hand don't tread on medics, there is not much player who would cope up to play on a boring faction. We wouldn't have a proper working R&R system that responds %80 of the dispaches if they had to stumble upon shit like this. You did not shown your intent to take him hostage, he just did what was suitiable. It doesn't seem like he avoided the sitation intentionally. You did not posted the dispute evidence video of the sitation but I can assume he would probably able to evade the sitation without redeploying. I mean he is above rank search and rescue. He is able to spawn ghosthawks,striders etc. vehicles that can run away from you easily before you arrive at the hospital.

This has always been a thing for medics when told to leave or die if the medic is complying there is no engagement since he is complying with the order. The best way to look at it is similar to warning shots. You can’t warning shot someone at pygros and then 3 minutes later you see them at air hospital and kill them as that would be rdm since there is no engagement because the player did as they were told and left.

You made the post and now you wanna give yourself a pass because it wasn’t your report. Whoever reported is just doing what’s they’re supposed to. Report someone when they think a rule break happened. You’re making a post about it as a “gotcha” moment and in the end, everyone shoved it back up your ass. So, idk msn.
