Alright, had to do one of the old school click bait titles on you guys, you can all relax as this post is nothing but good. Its been a hot minute since I made one of these... figured this is a better time then any to make this post. This one wont be made by ChatGPT, wanted this post to actually come from me, which means my usual yap will be involved in this post, so ill break it into sections for you to be able to avoid what you dont care about. I got some awesome news/updates though and I think you guys will appreciate some transparency from our behind the scenes that we been working on 
So normally with these types of posts I say its been our best year ever or the support has been amazing and blah blah blah. Unfortunately, I do not have the ability to say that this time around. This year was most definitely not one of our best. But, we dont let that stop us and as an team we will keep it pushing until we no longer can. The team and I have listened to your feedback and have made initiatives to make changes moving forward. Without furtherado lets get started!
Staff Updates:
Firstly id like to welcome @ -dante- to the Senior Admin team. I think he needs no introduction, he is the ticket slinger that will catch your ticket within the hour it was submitted. Some of you guys might be considered safe now since he will be doing less tickets in his new role...
Now for the actual update.

Admins will be receiving an update and broken up into 2 groups.
- First Group: The group you know of now, your standard Admin that does tickets, plays in game, does your comp request, etc.

Second Group: This is a new version of Admin. One that is more community involved. Every. SINGLE. Day. these admins are going to be required to do 2-3 events a day, run monthly giveaways, plan big events (Gang Wars in those plans) and given the ability to run server wide events that are not just stuck to our usual event menu. These events are to always be communicated on the forums for everyone to be made aware of. In light of transparency, we are still working out all the details and will be going through and having a selection process for these admins, so bare with us while we work out all the details but we will be updating everyone once we have everything in place, hopefully within the next week
. If we pick 3 admins, you should be expecting 6-9 events every single day on the server.
- I do want to make it clear that these admins will still be expected to do tickets, however they will be tracked more on in game activity and events/giveaways they run, over their ticket count.
In Game Changes, Balancing and Content Updates:
First thing I wanna say is that we hear you. We are taking in all feedback from you guys on all sides, discussing with your civ council on the bigger changes you guys wanna see and running with that feedback. We cant make big changes over night and need to consider a lot before we implement or revert something. So for now I'm going to list off what we have discussed and will be doing in future updates.
Map Changes:
- Bring back OG Evidence Locker that everyone's been asking for
- Make changes to the Fed to make it enjoyable to fight in again
- Make/revert map updates to new/ideal locations based on what we do discuss with the team/council
Mechanic/Combat Changes:
We ran a poll to see what you guys wanted for these, so were gonna listen and do exactly that.
- Reverting the jump script animation

Reverting the DPI Script restriction within Invasion and Warzone
- Based on the poll we are going to keep the restriction within Federal Events
- This is what we have currently discussed, we will continue to work with civ council on further changes
In Game Changes (WIP):
- We are looking to rework the daily rewards system, want to make it better and worth logging in for
- Discussing possibly add a Rakeback System to the casino currently - Big TBD
- Discussing more New Player Incentives/Retention additions we can make
- Discussing Active Player Incentives/Retention additions we can make
Gang Wars:
Yes, we do plan on still doing Gang Wars and will be tasking the same team I mentioned above with doing it. As soon as details are fleshed out I promise we will make a post announcing it. Please be patient with us as we work on getting everything up and running
End of Year Giveaway:
You already know as long as im around and we have a server to still play on I will be running these giveaways. Dont you worry, I plan on making the end of year giveaway post sometime within the next few days. Could be today, could be end of week, dont have a set and stone time for that yet but it IS coming. As always, will be bigger then last years
What's Next:
The biggest complaints and issues are amongst factions, recent updates/changes, not being able to enjoy being in game and overall your voices recently feeling like they arent being heard recently. I came out of my hibernation to let you guys know I plan entirely on fixing that and we have already started that process and made changes over this weekend alone.
Biggest thing I want to talk about is just simply the ability to have fun in game. Prime example for me is yesterday I was in game playing with a group of people when I got dive bombed by a plane. As someone with nothing to lose, I found it to be the funniest part of my night, but was in shock when the rest of the channel went silent and expected the worst such as a live ban/stripping the player of their money. There was no harm to the situation, everyone had a great time and the moment was straight up funny, so I revived the guy, sent his plane back into the garage and gave him some money and a car to leave the area. Everyone wins. I plan entirely on bringing back this type of fun in the game, with the tools staff has available to make it enjoyable for everyone, not just the big guys. This is the same fun that made me stick around years ago as a regular player. (**For clarity do not do this example to a regular player, you will get banned. I am someone with infinite money and the ability to rectify any situation I am in**)
I know content updates have slown down, truth be told its hard to come up with things as a vanilla server at this stage of Olympus. We are the most heavily developed vanilla server to date and coming up with new ideas is tough. Along side, our devs have been non stop pumping for years now, so doing that with their daily lives is just as equally hard and I am truthfully appreciative for all the hard work they put in for us over the years. With that being said, if you have any sort of balance changes, content ideas, event ideas, etc please reach out to your Civ Council. We will be working with them much more on getting you guys the content and changes you are looking for. Anything specific to events please reach out to @ -dante- as he will be the one taking the lead on the new event initiative we are going to be running. I ask for patience as we play catch up, it aint easy to do this fast and for sure once again is not an overnight process.
We got some awesome stuff coming up for everyone, I ask for some patience while we prepare everything we plan on pushing out to you guys. Stick with us and we will bring Olympus back to its prime You guys will be catching me in game more often, dont be afraid to say hi (I may blow you up though 
)
