Alright, had to do one of the old school click bait titles on you guys, you can all relax as this post is nothing but good. Its been a hot minute since I made one of these... figured this is a better time then any to make this post. This one wont be made by ChatGPT, wanted this post to actually come from me, which means my usual yap will be involved in this post, so ill break it into sections for you to be able to avoid what you dont care about. I got some awesome news/updates though and I think you guys will appreciate some transparency from our behind the scenes that we been working on So normally with these types of posts I say its been our best year ever or the support has been amazing and blah blah blah. Unfortunately, I do not have the ability to say that this time around. This year was most definitely not one of our best. But, we dont let that stop us and as an team we will keep it pushing until we no longer can. The team and I have listened to your feedback and have made initiatives to make changes moving forward. Staff Updates: In Game Changes, Balancing and Content Updates: Gang Wars: End of Year Giveaway: What's Next: The biggest complaints and issues are amongst factions, recent updates/changes, not being able to enjoy being in game and overall your voices recently feeling like they arent being heard recently. I came out of my hibernation to let you guys know I plan entirely on fixing that and we have already started that process and made changes over this weekend alone. Biggest thing I want to talk about is just simply the ability to have fun in game. Prime example for me is yesterday I was in game playing with a group of people when I got dive bombed by a plane. As someone with nothing to lose, I found it to be the funniest part of my night, but was in shock when the rest of the channel went silent and expected the worst such as a live ban/stripping the player of their money. There was no harm to the situation, everyone had a great time and the moment was straight up funny, so I revived the guy, sent his plane back into the garage and gave him some money and a car to leave the area. Everyone wins. I plan entirely on bringing back this type of fun in the game, with the tools staff has available to make it enjoyable for everyone, not just the big guys. This is the same fun that made me stick around years ago as a regular player. (**For clarity do not do this example to a regular player, you will get banned. I am someone with infinite money and the ability to rectify any situation I am in**) I know content updates have slown down, truth be told its hard to come up with things as a vanilla server at this stage of Olympus. We are the most heavily developed vanilla server to date and coming up with new ideas is tough. Along side, our devs have been non stop pumping for years now, so doing that with their daily lives is just as equally hard and I am truthfully appreciative for all the hard work they put in for us over the years. With that being said, if you have any sort of balance changes, content ideas, event ideas, etc please reach out to your Civ Council. We will be working with them much more on getting you guys the content and changes you are looking for. Anything specific to events please reach out to @ -dante- as he will be the one taking the lead on the new event initiative we are going to be running. I ask for patience as we play catch up, it aint easy to do this fast and for sure once again is not an overnight process. We got some awesome stuff coming up for everyone, I ask for some patience while we prepare everything we plan on pushing out to you guys. As much as we would love/want to do this (and we have looked into doing it already), for us to shift a reforger focus we would need to take a step back in the Arma 3 scene, which would not be sustainable at the current state of Arma for us to do. Its not that we are not capable or willing, despite it being a new language we have people that actually know how to work within C#, its that the sacrifice/manpower we'd have to give up to go full steam ahead may not be healthy for the A3 server at the moment. Unless we have more people step up to the plate to take on that challenge, a reforger server is not right around the corner. If we had anything in the works it would be a slow and steady project, and not one we would push a release on.
