- Sexual harassment is an issue on Olympus. - Offenders need to stop. - Victims are required to present proof to staff members in order for the offenders to be dealt with. (Unless the staff members witness the situation first hand.) It's really unfortunate that people still treat others like this online and face to face. I haven't personally dealt with sexual harassment, but from what I've read in this thread and heard in game it's a terrible experience. From what I've read here, the players being sexually harassed really enjoy this community other than the harassment they've been receiving. It's not the occasional comments of people being called "faggots" or "whores." It's about being constantly harassed every single day when you're simply trying to have fun in a video game. Just because you're okay with the current situation doesn't mean that others are.

None of the staff are paid for what they do, this includes the role of Designer/Developer. The donations are put towards keeping the teamspeak and in-game servers up. I highly doubt financial information will be disclosed due to privacy reasons. Moderators and Admins are able to step in and run events when they have the time. It's finding the time that's the issue. Members of the Senior APD have already been trusted with a position that requires lots of responsibility, same deal with Odin. He switched to Head R&R Coordinator from R&R Coordinator after Hades decided that he should leave the group in his hands. As it has already been mentioned, members of the community need to be HEAVILY trusted before they can even be considered to be accepted as a staff member. Members within the community that are already trusted ie: high ranks of monitored organizations, stand a much better chance of becoming a staff member as their performance, determination, management and so on can be easily recognized and vouched for.

Break that addiction to pumpkin pie and get out there and ace that APD test! You can use the gates all you want, but do not close them on top of vehicles or in front of them. If you do so and cause the vehicle to explode it can sometimes be considered RVD otherwise known as Random Vehicle Destruction. If the anyone within the vehicle dies it can sometimes be considered RDM otherwise known as Random Death matching.

RP is engaged if someone fires upon you, giving you the go ahead to fire back with intentions of killing/downing. However you need to make sure you're only firing on the person who's shooting at you, not innocent bystanders.

Olympus' 3rd server has been brought up very recently featuring Wasteland, currently the player base is spread between the two Altis life servers and the single Wasteland server. Over the course of the day, the player population goes from around 25 to almost full capacity. With such a variation it would not be a wise game plan to release an addition server at this time. Not to mention that the number of staff would need to be increased further to cover the addition server, which is much more difficult than it sounds. Additionally more rules would need to be created for this 4th server, something that the staff is trying to avoid with very good reason. I personally can't see this happening anytime soon.

Jpeg has got the right idea, when you're fading in a clip such as an intro you should fade everything at once. The music, smoke and the olympus logo in this case. Hopefully one of your intros will be apart of the other video you're creating??!?!?

If some of the weapons from the DLC are added into the servers, it's possible that new and old scopes will also be added. This would most likely only happen if there's a balance between the civilians and APD.

Not sure if they're going to be added seeing as how the current advanced scopes have not been added into Altis Life.

Currently there's no word on whether or not a ranking system will be added to Olympus' wasteland server. The same goes for donations there has been some discussion on the forums on what donators should have access to in the wasteland server. However when you donate, you donate to Olympus' servers. Which involves both Altis Life and Wasteland, so yes when you donate for wasteland/altis life you will also be donating to the other.

It's possible that you were experiencing lag, try to play again and do simple things around a city to see if you're still experiencing the issue. Try moving around the city from vendor to vendor, try pulling a vehicle from your garage and putting it back inside. Watch for the other players around are they stuttering? Voices cutting out? If the problem persists restart your computer and network. (Modem and Router if you have both)

Dang just noticed that

Just to let everyone know the Arma 3 - Extended Edition is currently 50% off. The extended edition contains the full arma 3 game as well as all the game's DLC. If you've got any buddies that are looking to get into Arma 3 now would be an awesome time seeing as how Arma rarely gets discounts this high.

If you decide to create the google doc, it's going to need to be very closely watched to prevent mischief if anyone can edit it.

The problem is that hummingbirds can be taken down with less than 10 rounds of well placed 7.62mm rounds. It doesn't make much sense to use a hummingbird when a ghost hawk is available.

There would have to be an outstanding demand for Olympus to start up a ROK server. Seeing as how this is an arma 3 community I can't really see there being much of a demand... :/

To answer your first question: If an R&R member recognizes a wanted criminal they are allowed to text the police and inform them of the location, whether or not they need a revive. This also means that the R&R member could inform wanted criminals that the APD are on the way. From my past experiences medics tend to stay neutral in situations like this. Second question was already answered

If you're really nice and ask politely, there's a possibility that you could get an interview at a different time if you're not available to attend the regular ones.
