Yeah but those vigi rules tend to usually need to be enforced by staff investigations. Lots of stuff has gone unpunished by so many people so long that it's beginning to tax vigis that actually follow the rules. Vigis now join groups and don't even bother changing their names to vigi their own gang members, sometimes leave gangs to vigi their own gang mates, sometimes openly offer in side chat to buy bounties, and it happens with such frequency and so blatantly that it just seems like there either needs to be a round of crackdowns or the rules about vigis need to be relaxed, because the current system is just punishing rule abiding vigis and cops by clearing bounties too easily.

For the last four months people have been blatantly paying for bounties in sidechat, and many, some even tier 5 vigis, are under the impression that it's not against the rules to do. There's been times where staff have been online for these discussions, and nobody has been punished for it, nor corrected. Feel like we've let these rules slack so hard, and nobody is policing it like they used to, that we should either just officially change the rules and make it legal to split bounties, or go back to enforcing the rules. This middle ground stuff is going to lead to a lot of surprise bans if it's ever enforced again out of left field.

Only rule I see people b reaking and getting way with is RVD... and it's incredibly annoying. All of 88 should be permed for how many vehicles they've rvd'ed at this point, but it's borderline impossible to prove and it's hard to get staff to watch them enough.

Base scripts they would still have to entirely adapt to an entirely different game that just uses the same engine. It's a head start, but it changing guns, vehicles, map locations, ect. would be quite a chore, especially when you have no idea at all what to expect with the maps and resources on Arma 4. I think more than anything it's a learning experience and a place to fill their notepad with scripts to leapfrog from.

I personally feel like it's not the play. Maybe in some smaller capacity to figure it out, and having oly players help beta test.. but a loooot of time and money was put into making A3 olympus what it is... and in any serious capacity, Ryan has to pick one server type and run with it. Going hard on the stepping stone game would effectively be abandoning the full and complete version of the game we have now to play on a half created version of olympus that nobody would want to put too much effort into until A4 came out. It would be neat to see, but a waste of resources that could risk killing the loyal playerbase in that time.

They wanted to lower the payout for it pretty drastically. It was cash on hand or a cash nerf. Sometimes when you win, you lose. Could have been far worse.

I'll never forget killing 3 88, and being a boat with one of their bodies while 6 more were looking for me and you turn the search light on my boat despite being titan engaged to go away and spam messaging me "you know theres a dead body in your boat" while all of 88 finds me thanks to you, and it ends up in a 15 minute boat chase. I died but at least the mf in my boat bled out. You were an amazing medic after that though.
