Pledge 2292
It's not actually louder from the outside, just seems like it to the drivers. Quote Link to comment
cheesyrooster 20
it is louder before I couldn't hear an idle hatchback from 150m. can't even walk around any towns without earplugs fully inserted. I have been shot in the ass 3 times because I didn't hear engagement. Quote Link to comment
BananaHammock 164
May I suggest you turn your "Effects" volume down and increase "VON" (In game voice). That way you'll be able to hear other far better! For my personal settings, I have "Effects" down to about 10-20%. Quote Link to comment

cheesyrooster 20
Do sound effects not affect gunfire? Not sure why I should sacrifice the ability to hear footsteps/gunfire just because some scat wants to hear a hatchback sneaking up on them at a pro Quote Link to comment

cheesyrooster 20
so essentially I am making them sound the way they did previously. with the exception of not being able to hear gunfire or footsteps as well from a distance. why not just not fuck with something that isn't broken. Louder vehicles came in a Bohemia update, not sure if there is anything Olympus could even do about it. Honestly, just put your earplugs in all the way in Kavala, take them out when you need to hear. If you can't hear anything with earplugs in, might be time to turn your volume down a bit. Quote Link to comment

Direct chat is controlled by the effects slider cause Arma. I agree though the sound of engines is incredibly annoying, I've resorted to deleting vehicles that people leave on ^_^ 2 2 1 Quote Link to comment

Earplugs however, turn down all the other effects and leaves the direct chat volume up. VON is only for group chat and vehicle chat and so on Quote Link to comment
