    When you don't know how to do a headless client that's what happens. We tried headless clients back in the day when we were struggling to even run 90 players. But now that we've optimized our mission further and got rid of some bottlenecks we may actually see a noticeable improvement with a headless client. We run 111 players better than we ran 80 players back then. It may provide a difference to the server, but clients won't really notice much. The big reason 64bit is good for clients is the increased ram availability and any changes they did the render engine.

    The olympus server has nothing to do with clients running 64 bit. We could be running 156465bit.

    80% of hackers use vpns, as well as ban evaders. It gets rid of the shitters.

    Switching servers to 64 bit will have 'most likely' no noticeable impact to clients.

    If you continue to spam about a topic you're not fully educated about you will be moderated. If you have good playtime on our servers and got autobanned you've got a solid 99% chance of getting unbanned. Put in an appeal. In a few days you'll hardly notice the system is in place.

    People think this is purely because of pull downs and shit, it's not. This is for random hackers who have probably never joined our server and are just on a hacking rampage. It's to help stop some of the real hackers, not pull down script kiddies. If it happens to catch some of them too then cool. There were several hackers in the last few days that would have been picked up by this automated ban if we had it in place at that time. I'm going to lock this post as we've discussed the topic well enough, and we're happy with where the system is at now. If you get banned, put in a ban appeal. We will handle them case by case.

    I changed the limit to 210 days. Then what's to stop them from using hacks heat of the moment in arma? Your logic makes no sense. People who hacked in other games are significantly more likely to do shady shit on here, from exploits, to hacks, to pulldown scripts.

    We're taking many steps to catch cheaters and malicious users before they can cause harm to our servers. This is one of the few automated systems we've added. Users that aren't complete shitters may be unbanned and excluded from this automated system. Put in a ban appeal and we'll be the judge. These systems are mostly aimed at new users.

    Let me know if anyone has new issues with the forums today, made some changes. Most issues should be fixed by clearing cache and restarting your browser.
