Some things to try if you haven’t already: run steam as administration before opening arma. launch the server straught from the launcher/if doing that already they doing it organically through in game menu. Manually download battleye/manually delete battleye folder. Not sure if it’ll work but delete arma and redownload and download the mission file through the downloader rather than in game, listed here. (Probably not a fix but worth trying) So don’t join the server until it’s downloaded on the launcher. And finally, throw pc out the window.

From 17-19 I did an insane amount of comp tickets so if you never saw that then you weren’t paying attention. We had removed vehicles from people but we have never given someone their vehicle unless they had clear possession of it. You’re reaching and clearly making shit up if you, who didn’t see any comp tickets, is telling me how comp tickets worked in 2017. Lmao. Almost every person on this thread is disproving you and you’re still whining. Either o7 like you said you were or get over it. You’re accomplishing nothing. -

I’ve been around a long time and it’s always been the standard that if you do not have possession, you’re not getting comped. A ban for sure, but you’re not getting compensated something you never had possession of. This isn’t new, this isn’t a story, and this post won’t change anyone’s mind. I can’t speak on this one, but the way staff has always handled stuff that dealt with something that could be bias is someone else would oversee the ticket to eliminate bias. -
It’s been a constant issue even since I was a rnr supervisor in like 2016. We (staff at the time) even at one point implemented a side chat that was dedicated to apd and rnr so they could coordinate better and clean up those issues. Made it 1000x worse and cops just berated medics the entire time. We worked on making sure everyone was respectful but most people only play for combat and money, so there won’t be effort to role play situations out. On the flip side, since I’ve been back I’ve noticed more medics are what cops used to be to medics. Just straight dicks to cops and showing a clear bias to tell them to fuck off anytime they can. Wouldn’t doubt it’s because they’ve been harassed by cops before tho. Just an observation I’ve made. Granted, @ Marcus handled the one situation I witnessed of a medic doing that relatively quick. So that was nice to see.

I can’t speak on now being the standard can be pretty fluid, but when I was staff if you were posting anyone’s picture on the forums and they had a problem with it you’d get the normal forum discipline of a warning, forum ban, eventual in game ban if it persisted. Postings anyone’s picture when they don’t want it circulating, especially to publicly shame, definitely was no bueno. -

Depends on what you are doing, they are basically the same and switching from Java to C# or C# to Java is easy since they have similar syntax and fundamentals. The real difficulty comes with learning the different frameworks they offer, but best to learn is probably Java since in my experiences there are more job openings with Java than C#.

Since I’ve come back to the server all I’ve read or heard in channels is a whole lot of whining/venting about Winters. I haven’t been back long enough to know if any of it has any merit. The chief position is the most criticized role in the server from my personal experience. But, since so many are calling for his head, I wanna know who everyone would choose as their next chief. Could be anyone actively playing on the server right now. I’m not going to make a poll because I don’t want this to be limited to only dep chiefs (I’d be a hypocrite since I chose an LT to be the next chief when I left ). So let’s hear it. Winters stepped down today, who gets your vote? Current APD votes mostly but curious about everyone else as well.

Hola [VX] Hurricane This tactic has been used a lot unfortunately. Even before Winters. You have a sr you don’t think deserves the spot anymore and you essentially bribe them to gtfo. It’s a shady practice and not something I liked as chief. I don’t know the full situation of you stepping down, but if there wasn’t some major mess ups, then you shouldn’t be bribed. But, outside looking in perspective. I know damn well how under wraps we try to keep Sr APD information in terms of removals of srs. But I never liked the idea of bribing. Either you’re not fit or you are. If you’re not, follow disciplinary protocol. Perm spots should be reserved for those leaving in good standing. Not as a bribing tool. I don’t like this either. No chief should ever feel untouchable. I was sr admin and chief and obviously it would have been tough to coup me if I didn’t leave as soon as I did, but the facts should be if there’s a high percentage of seniors who feel they’re being mislead, then they should be able to have some way to determine if their leader is unfit or not. I haven’t been here in a long time so I can’t and won’t bad mouth winters based off of forum posts. But if he’s causing that much turmoil, there should be a method that doesn’t involve just waiting until he leaves.
