  1. We play obviously a very different game. I don't see how you can say that with a straight face when it is literally the MOST used tactic when you're a smaller group. When it's the only way to slow down the trickle of lethals that eventually catch one player every other wave or so, this is a huge problem for them now. You forget DB wasn't and isn't some huge gang, what do you think we did before we started this larger group of collective gangs?
  2. You have free gear, no NLR, basically unlimited funds - but you chose to do the same thing over and over again. You're incapable to showing any leadership ability and thinking outside of your three minutes of life expectancy.
  3. You guys keep slamming the same spot, over, and over, and over, and over again. It's like playing duck hunt. Have your Sr APD show some of these leadership qualities you guys crow about a bunch and do something different. Instead you guys just want the easy wins. APD is making all these arguments about how the BW is tough and we're overpowered now, but explain the feds we've been winning between BWs? How about you guys stop the quad bike meme pushes, the retarded deputies and POs we can milk for 10 minutes at a time and the general lack of game sense. Stop doing the same thing and expecting a different result.
  4. I think it would be more accurate to say we want balance between the factions and different play styles. I think once Vigilantes are in line as far as their monetary gains go, we'll find it easier to suggest obvious quality of life changes that they could benefit from. We're mostly waiting to see what happens with the taze script right now, we might be fucking them quite hard with that. I did, and I'll try and explain why myself, and apparently other civ council members and staff thought it was a good idea. Right now houses are basically being taken hostage by a portion of the older player base that have already made their money with the houses. A lot of the houses currently owned by these players don't even get used anymore, they are simply refreshed and left to rot. I'm guilty of this too. A good example is players that are currently inactive, perm banned or simply don't have the game installed anymore can have their buddies with permanent keys keep their houses active and off the market. Stopping this behaviour is beneficial to new players that are currently the life blood of the servers. We're not even talking about a lot of money here, 10% of a 4 crater is 220k/month. I think if you're sitting on a 4 crater like that, you purchased, upgraded and put gear into - you can probably afford that upkeep and the tax is more than reasonable. Of course if the owner isn't around at all to pay the fee, or can't afford to pay the fee then the house goes up on the market for anyone to purchase. I haven't even touched on the advantages having a passive money sink has on the server economy and inflation.
  5. Ok I get it, you're upset you preferred play style is being balanced and bought into line. Feel free to apply to the civilian council next time some seats open up. We have access to far better stats and metrics than we did back then. If there is an obvious out of whack uptick in money generated from these locations then of course we will look at them again. Olympus isn't the same as it was back then, things are far easier to get iterated on than ever before. You're supposedly a vigilante, you know the risk when you rob a guy instead of sending them to jail. What the fuck?
  6. I think you're right about gas station robberies, the payout could do with a little bump. It's pretty new player accessible and the risk is high, the reward should better reflect that. Looking at the numbers, I feel like Turtles are in a solid place. Remember you're effectively invisible when farming turtles (unlike every other activity, except for salvage) making them by far the safest illegal activity. Runs shouldn't be inherently safe to do, Altis life works because there is a certain amount of risk involved when interacting with other players. As for underwater oil, yeah I don't think that's it either. We would just be replicating salvaging and the problems associated with that. An oil rig on top of the water however, I miss that thing - even if it was buggy as fuck and killed you at every opportunity.
  7. We're working on getting numbers on how much they're making compared to other income sources, should help us build a case for getting them balanced. Along with other things that are getting suggested, I'm hoping the vigilante plague gets cured soon.
  8. I for one can't wait for my 85k mk1.
  9. There will be a rule update from the admins, hopefully going into specifics for you. This is just a short brief explanation on what was discussed and decided to implement. As for the vigilantes, no you will not be punished for pursuing bounties/camping. This specific circumstance was bought up during the meeting and nobody wanted that to happen.
  10. Basically the Vigi council guys suggested the Sting be replaced for the .45 at tier 2. We never talked about price, so I can only assume whichever Dev made the change didn't really look twice at the price. It's our fault for not thinking about lowering the price since this is arguably a fairly sizeable nerf to the Vigilante role until tier 3. Personally I think the price should be looked at but don't really see it as such a huge problem as is being made out by some in this thread. Remember you don't have to use the .45 at its current price and the PO7 is more than capable until tier 3. While we're bitching about prices, how about we look at tier 4 gaining 90% of the total bounty amount? Doesn't that sound far more scuffed than an expensive pistol you get past fairly quickly?
  11. Sweet, hmu if you still want those code 3 lessons.
  12. It's generating four times more money than the next highest performing run. I honestly can't overstate how absurd the numbers in favour of salvage are right now. Combine that with the fact when you're salvaging in an SDV, you're invisible to the entire map, essentially invulnerable to dying to being robbed in the water and can do this all whole thing AFK tabbing in occasionally to delete a few items and stick it in your vehicle. As it stands right now salvaging is bad for the health of the server, having large amounts of people invisible able to make nutty money with little to no risk should never be a thing. Being robbed, robbing, and risk vs reward are vital parts of the Altis life gameplay. This broke that and we're finally correcting it.

    KS?

fuck, I'll let everyone know, thanks.
  14. ;_; godspeed kavala warrior
  15. Or more likely go to back and do runs? 1m or 5m, if they were going to bet that much they were going to do it anyway. The only difference is it takes less time now.
  16. Just remember who had this grand betting amount increase idea! You did this to yourself
  17. Literally just added this to our sheet, thanks.
  18. Hey Kavala Warriors. It's finally time for the true champions of Olympus to be recognised and get some well deserved QoL improvements and features. Helping us do that are myself, Unjo, Tyrone and Bralls. We would love to hear your suggestions, any changes you would make and any complaints you have about scatting in general. Obviously scatting is amazing and by far the most fun you can have on Olympus, but we can make it better. We will do our best to have the APD nerfed, Vigilantes removed and NLR abolished. /s
  19. Probably the single most aids engagement text I've ever received. I was legitimately confused, mostly about my sexuality when I didn't put my hands up but also about who the fuck was about to shoot at me.
  20. Peter wouldn't break my heart like that. Right, Peter?
  21. I'll take that as an @. Please don't come back.
  22. Spoiler: OP is the guy going nuts.
  23. It's having an opinion and disagreeing with something that got MAV in so much trouble. You were a good Sr medic Prime.
