But I have always been under the impression that LMG's have had tracers to allow people to have a chance to find/kill them easier. Bigger/more OP gun means that is a way to compensate. So in my eyes, when you give the opportunity to not have those tracers it makes it a little harder. But if that is not the reasoning whatever.
