It is a way for the Duper’s to prove that they are remorseful for what they have done , that’s why he brings up the point of these restrictions lasting only 2 months for some

A lot of the duper’s have submitted ban appeals to no avail. They want to play Olympus. Staff doesn’t trust them. This method allows the players to play and build  trust, without having access to most duping methods. Staff doesn’t need to put as much trust in them, and the players can enjoy the server.

A lot of people banned for duping/exploiting just end up ban evading and wasting money on alternate accounts. Having some pretty easy restrictions is a lot better than having to hide and purchase additional accounts. At least that is the case for most players and if it's not the case, guess what... they'll keep ban evading or not playing and just stay banned.

How would these restrictions deter or prevent someone from lagswitching again to gain tactical advantages? Or from event disruption?

So we are already scraping the bottom of the barrel so let's go catch carp and clean out the the bottom of a few other barrels?

While these restrictions may seem rather harsh the alternative is to be "permanently" banned.  We also recognize that there may be some people who genuinely regret their actions and we are offering the opportunity for these restrictions to be removed after a minimum of 2 months.  There is no guarantee that the restrictions will be removed however and they will be removed on a case by case basis.

If you have alternate accounts and you use them to get around these restrictions it will be considered ban evading and both accounts will be banned.  If you are appealing and have alternate accounts please bring them to our attention beforehand to avoid issues in the future.

 

Also please note since this is the 1.0 version of this system there may be unforeseen issues like KS COMING BACK!

I get on after a couple months to this... You guys do understand that there is always another way to dupe. I think the big gangs of olympus proved this. But I havent even been on for a while so how is everyone doing.

Duping doesn't require an injector... Hacking does. Hacks cannot prevent a player from getting around every single thing this prevents. So no they shouldn't have their case heard. Good scripters are a lot harder to find/catch.

What if the person revive hacked money and they didn't know it was hack but still banned for hacking it?
