Chapter VI - Dealing with Vehicles

Illegal Vehicles

1. Any armed vehicle, Ifrit, Strider, Hunter, Taru Bench, Jet Aircraft, Pharmaceutical vehicles and any variants of the Blackfish.
2. Illegal vehicles are subject to search and seizure

Chapter XII - APD Escort Event[edit]

1. Active SAPD can start an APD Escort Event.
2. APD vehicles associated with the APD Escort Event must use emergency lights (code 2), no sirens required.
3. Any civilian interacting/interfering/seen participating with the APD Escort event may be shot on sight by the APD, no RP is required.
   1. Example: Blocking the road in front of the APD escort event motorcade, trying to pit police escort vehicles off the road, etc. (Rules Chapter 17)
4. Lethals must be used during the escort.
   1. SGT+ must authorize lethals at an HQ prior to starting the event, Deputies must utilize SDARs.
5. Sgt+. conducting the Escort may distribute Carrier Lites to Patrol Officer+ for the “Large Escort”.

Chapter XV - APD Aircraft

If an APD hummingbird enters an area of engagement and/or is in the area where an active gunfight between APD and civs is taking place, the hummingbird may fire upon engaged ground units without sending a text, upon the direction of a corporal or higher.

1. Hummingbirds may mirror the guns hot status of any active Ghosthawks. However, this does not apply vice-versa.

A vehicle that you spend millions on that can hardly do anything and can only land in certain locations is now illegal? WOW makes a LOT of sense. It doesn't even impact cops.

The jet can scout the map at supersonic speeds, the jet is armed (has weapons visible so it already met the definition of an illegal vehicle), and is not possible to deal with a jet as a cop unless it is stationary.

Yes it can scout the map at supersonic speed. Yes it has visible guns, but cannot be used. It is hardly ever even used against the APD either.

you spend millions of dollars on buying a jet. you can only land it at like 5 locations. Not to mention that usually people spend millions of dollars on insurance for it for the sole purpose of it can blow up easily while landing it

Actually, I'd say the majority of the server has no counter to it. It can outrun titans and it's glass doesn't break.

It's not about stopping me from winning. The jet is a military armed vehicle that can scout the map at supersonic speeds with like a 5x camera, why would the apd allow this kind of technology to be used against civilians?

Civs hardly have a counter against it as well. It goes over 1600 km/h. you don't see us complaining about it. They are more effective on catching people do runs but is hardly used b/c of the price of it.

Most people can't land jets in fields whilst there are chicken fences, stone walls, etc.

Most land them at airfields, salt flats, and the aircraft carrier. Thats it. No one is gonna land a jet in the field either way once they are done having fun flying around in it they are going to want to store it. They also drain fuel pretty quickly if I recall correctly

Medic Ghosthawk is not illegal for the same reason the medic strider and hunter is not illegal.

Jets don't necessarily help win fights, but they ruin runs for everyone (including new players) considering it can scout the map at insane speeds.
