Miranda Rights For The APD

Recommended Posts

Should the Miranda rights be included for the APD for when someone is being arrested? For me it would give a bit better chance for the role-play to happen between the officer and the offender. What do you all think?

No, as the Miranda rights are an American thing, and Altis is in Greece. The closest we could get is something similar, but an Olympus version, but I know it would just be another thing Civs would demand a pardon for if the Deputy forgets it.

Shouldn't be a rule, should be up to you. If you wanna read someone their Miranda rights when you arrest them go for it, pretty good RP imo.

Here's how I see it going:

Officer tazes and restrains someone

Officer: You have the right to remain silent...

*they start getting salty and shouting shit*

Officer:....but you do not have the ability

Actually, that sounds fun. I might do that.

My opinion is the moment we make it mandatory is the time everybody starts throwing every single American Law into their RP and I will probably drown in my own pity from it. Plz no.

@Wonderwaffle

Make your own Miranda rights! Call them the Waffle rights. Makes for a more unique RP story.

Post it on the forums when you are done!!!

That actually sounds pretty because we would not have to add american laws into this but we would have a better RP experience when read them rights

Miranda rights should be as follows

1. You have the obligation to shut the fuck up when we are talking to you

2. You will not complain when PO's let their deputies kick you on the balls.

3. We are APD. We are legion. We do not forgive. we do not forget.

4. No lawyers, so catch me outside. How bout DAT?

5. Do you understand these rights? Actually we dont give a fuck. Pay up or go to jail.

To be fair quite a few countries have equivalent versions of the Miranda rights. Not All of which required massive police fuck ups to enact.

All in all could be pretty fun for RP but at the end of the day the Judicial system on Altis is arrest or death. There isn't any real in between for the guilty parties.

YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT

ANY RP WILL BE USED AGAINST YOU

YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO AN ATTORNY BUT IT WILL MORE THAN LIKELY BE UN ACKNOWLEDGED AS RP

I HAVE THE RIGHT TO ADD CHARGES

LIKELY STORY, OKAY SIR I WILL BE SENDING YOU TO JAIL LOL SORRY NO I CANT REDUCE THE TICKET
