Mako has a terrible personality for a leadership role and everyone knows it.  If he didn't know how to code and commit insane amounts of time to it he wouldn't be a community manager.  He can't stand losing and whenever he's losing he pulls out all the stops legal or not.   Nicole would be good but she suckles at his teet, so it'd be just like him being in charge anyways.
