out of curiosity who asked for the taxi system n fucking why, hatchbacks are 30k and the probability of someone being stranded and needing a taxi is less then 5%.

congrats whoever coded this, you coded something thatll be fucked around with for a month and completely forgotten about.

the dev work is good so no hate on the devs, just hating on the people who make them code dumb shit like a whole taxi system instead of the gangbase update or the s3 invasion update.

I had like $5-10k in my bank for a while wish this was a feature then 🙏

As of know no. For RnR the titles in the future will match up and only if sAPD and civ council want it it’ll be the same for the others.

There are a few perks that’ll notify you of discounts when purchasing, but most perks are actually subtle atm and you won’t notice them right away.

Did you also fix the Save loadout thing for Arms Dealer pricing?

I think it would be more accurate to say we want balance between the factions and different play styles. I think once Vigilantes are in line as far as their monetary gains go, we'll find it easier to suggest obvious quality of life changes that they could benefit from. We're mostly waiting to see what happens with the taze script right now, we might be fucking them quite hard with that.

I did, and I'll try and explain why myself, and apparently other civ council members and staff thought it was a good idea. Right now houses are basically being taken hostage by a portion of the older player base that have already made their money with the houses. A lot of the houses currently owned by these players don't even get used anymore, they are simply refreshed and left to rot. I'm guilty of this too.

A good example is players that are currently inactive, perm banned or simply don't have the game installed anymore can have their buddies with permanent keys keep their houses active and off the market. Stopping this behaviour is beneficial to new players that are currently the life blood of the servers.

We're not even talking about a lot of money here, 10% of a 4 crater is 220k/month. I think if you're sitting on a 4 crater like that, you purchased, upgraded and put gear into - you can probably afford that upkeep and the tax is more than reasonable. Of course if the owner isn't around at all to pay the fee, or can't afford to pay the fee then the house goes up on the market for anyone to purchase.

I haven't even touched on the advantages having a passive money sink has on the server economy and inflation.

Ahh yeah I didn’t know your friends could upkeep your house for you. Fair enough then I can definitely see why this would be beneficial.

Please stop editing your responses in thanks, but a player could be lazy and not want to sell it to another player, the house could not have been refreshed, could not have found a buyer.

I'm posting again but it combines it. And I mean I just want to be able to buy houses without being potentially scammed...

You're assuming that people are never going to change in account balance. If you don't see that a house upkeep gives opportunities to new and old players to potentially find houses off market then I fear for the CQC administration team, or you're just trying to push your own agenda, whatever that is.

    Business is business.

    Actual question:

Why can't I sell my house for any amount I want. Why do I HAVE To sell it to market?

Players want to run around with 2 bil, are you saying we should let them keep all the hacked money?

    Yes

No but real talk. If a player has $3mil he can just keep refreshing his house for one year and then he'll have to make money again. Like it's not going to change anything....

Paying 10% to refresh on a house that players should already making money off of, if you can't afford it and sell it, then good that's what we want. If you can't afford it and do more runs, good thats what we want. If you can't afford it and lose it, good that's what we want.

F U C K that. It's not about what you guys what you mongs. It's about what the players want.

Combating inactive players from indefinitely refreshing houses with no penalty, yea fuck you civ council.

What? Dude if they wanna combat that then reduce the timer or something like fuck that. I'd rather not pay that as an active player.

For example let's say some Tree guy with $80mil goes inactive and just keeps refreshing his houses.

They can refresh their house 320 times.

    That's 26 years.

    Changed:

    • APD lethal money cap reduced to $200,000 from $600,000

Whoever suggested this clearly doesn't play enough cop. The amount of times that there is a situation that can't be resolved with tasers is higher than the number of times they're abused on groups that could be peaceably taken down with non-lethal means. The civilian population gets buffs to every aspect every month, god forbid we get some too. Other than that its a great patch just sad to see dumb shit like this.

haha Fuck THE APD no more lethals! Use a taser

Cool update, but still pissed. I had the perfect factory house, then you decide to move it. Can you at least warn about potential moving? Maybe make up your mind?

Well, they would most likely love to tell people about a potential change for a location change but then that defeats the point of the movement. It's supposed to feel fresh, and allow others a chance to have a really good house in my opinion.
