There will be maintenance on the forums this weekend. We will be trying to update it to the new version, with a slightly different dark theme. We have held off on this update for months, because our current dark theme has not been updated to the new forum software, and has since been discontinued with the development for it. We will try to make it look as similar as possible but there will be some obvious changes. Announcement has been made as a reminder at the top of the forums.

That’s kind of crazy how you happened to watch me, @Grandma Gary or @Fraali do these things, notify us in staff dispatch about it, and when I personally teleported to you and told you it’s not a hacker it’s 3 of the highest ranking staff on the server screwing around, that you ignored it and tried to put it into a post for it to validate your argument ^_^

There is no official zone for it, hence why its not in the rules. If its quite obvious they are going to that cartel to fight you, then if its beyond 500 meters by just slightly we obviously wont ban for it. If its something as simple as driving past right, and they get tapped out then thats when we'd say its RDM. Being that this cartel is fairly deep, you should be able to easily tell whos coming and who isnt. -

Id say its scenario based, but typically id give it at least 500m from the cartel itself. Thats not a set number, but a general area you want to stay in. -
Seems the issues have arised from the latest Arma update, should hopefully be fixed soon

I mean even with these numbers, im still not closing down S2. I know that Olympus can handle the pop for both if we played the right cards. Seeing the new player count for the last 7 days, and even last few weeks shows we definitely get some traction just dont hold the retention. Which I spoke to @Fraali and @Mako about a few days ago, so we started thinking up some ideas to keep new players on Olympus. Hopefully what we got planned will stick.

Lets take a look Server 1: Public Link with stats: https://www.battlemetrics.com/servers/arma3/7991938?serverRank=7D&playerCount=7D&uniqueFirst=7D Amount of UNIQUE new players in the last 7 days - 968, averaging it at about 138 new players daily Amount of TOTAL players online in the last 7 days - 4,494, averaging about 642 players a DAY Server 2: Public Link with stats: https://www.battlemetrics.com/servers/arma3/226555?uniqueFirst=7D&serverRank=7D&playerCount=7D Amount of UNIQUE new players in the last 7 days - 101, averaging it at about 14 new players daily Amount of TOTAL players online in the last 7 days - 1,021, averaging about 145 players a DAY Now just looking at these numbers alone... I should realistically close server 2. But im not. Quit coming at me when you have no information or even look at the stats itself. Dont know where this #SaveServer2 stuff came from considering we did nothing to it and did not announce anything about it. Keep in mind this is from Battlemetrics, so I cant manipulate anything.

Honestly this^ Nobody wants to play on an empty server. The crazy part about this statement is, if I listened to majority of the community then there wouldnt be a S2 at all. 80% of people have been begging for it to be shut down, and I refuse. Bet you if I did a poll shutting it down completely would be the winner, yet S2 still stands. I even gathered some of my own stats for each server that would prove these statements wrong. Between playtime, new players joined, and average player count on each server. You would be mind blown with the numbers if/when I was to share them. I dont cater to any gangs either, and you know this. If I did, you'd see a whole lot of different results. Locking this thread, if you got any genuine concerns or questions my PM's are open.

What? Lmao. I don’t see a future with Olympus having priority slots on Arma 3. Maybe if arma 4 ever came out, but def not for arma 3.

This ^ Also, S2 ain’t going anywhere nor did we make any changes. If we were to make changes, we’d announce it. Today was the only “experimental” day I had where I wanted to see the difference in pop if I opened it *literally* an hour later. The other few days we lowkey forgot to manually turn it on cause life took over for everyone that has the capability. Nobody being left in the dry, just exploring potential options. Nothing is set or even planned for S2 as it stands.
