I have a dogshit i5-2500 processor right now and im getting a i5-9600k next week. How much of a difference is the new processor gonna have on my frames on arma? Right now I run arma on low/standard.

I’m guessing people are going to want to know a lot more information, but that will be an improvement for sure.

Depends if your gpu will bottle neck. But if it doesn’t 30 frames in kavala to potentially 90 or more

It's a really good CPU, and if you can push $40 more to get the i7-7700k it'll be even better. Also you should overclock you CPU when you get it.

The i5 is better. https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-7700K-vs-Intel-Core-i5-9600K/3647vs4031

what does that mean

What’s ur gpu.

Since ur cpu and gpu work together if one doesn’t work as good as the other they can’t get as much done.

Kinda like that one person in a group project that doesn’t do anything

I'm currently running a intel core I7-8700k. I get around 70 - 90 frames outside kav but when I enter kav I get around 50 - 60 fps.

Also arma is really weird where I get the same frames as purge but I only have a

1050 ti and i5-7400

ram also matters

I'd recommend getting an i7 tbh, overall Arma 3 is a more CPU intensive game. The better your CPU the better, but your graphics card does have an effect on the games performance. So getting a good graphics card will help to some extent, but it won't make the difference. But a much better CPU will.

If you have a good CPU and 16+ GB of ram you are solid. Also if you can run arma on an SSD it would be 10x better. Honestly I’ve noticed the more filled up my hardrive is the worse arma plays.

Why not just make this your signature rather than putting them in every one of your posts?

Arma is CPU based so the GPU will almost never be a bottleneck

Doesn’t mean it can’t. He had a pretty outdated cpu so I would a expect an out date gpu. Instead he has a decent up to date gpu

Hope your gonna get a new motherboard and ram since I'd imagine it will be a different chip set which only supports ddr4

Yes I ordered a new motherboard with the processor
