Civilian:

Jail Re-Design Utilizing Custom Asset

New DMT Run

  • Mushroom and Frog Combined
  • Weighs 2 will sell for ~$8k per

Invasion Map Selection will be Randomized(No Voting)

  • Due to lack of diversity from the voting system

NATO Boat(Unarmed) Added

  • For civ and APD
  • Gun will still be there but won't function

New Charge For Evading APD Warrant

  • Will also include multiple titles for total evaded

Storage Locker Upgrades

  • 1.5m per tier to add 100 storage of each virtual and physical
  • 3 Tiers max
  • 700 was the proposed max but was denied due to staff not wanting storage locker to be a robust storage solution

Remove Spike Strip Hotkey

  • Instead there will be a short animation for placing spike strips
  • Due to balancing issues and potential exploiting

 

APD:

Remove JSRS

  •  Gives an unfair advantage by a significant margin to hear well beyond the vanilla limit

Remove Peninsula Gang base??

  • Wanted due to balance(skill) issues
  • Stats have shown low attendance rate
  • Group Cap will change from 10>8
  • Flag will be move more central
  • Minor design changes made to make slightly easier to push
  • Will be rescheduled to see if this promotes higher attendance

 

DENIED IDEAS:

Progress Bar + Timer to Store Gear 

  • 15s timer to store gear
  • Denied due to the fact it cripples gear storing, house searches already on the rise and it'd significantly inconvenience the entirety of the server for the benefit of the APD getting more house searches

PO Qilins for Federal Events after Bomb Blows / Evidence Locker Leaves Start

  • Federal WR isn’t indicative of this being needed

Prowlers for POs

  • Really close alternative to the Qilin with 0 restrictions. Doesn’t require a Federal, not even doorless. Lol

Pharmaceutical Escort Drop Off Timer Increase

  • 40% WR, optional event, just leads to more camping of the escort drop off instead of interdicting it en route

Hunter and Strider Glass Buff

  • Not feasible in the way that was suggested or in the current balance. Federal WR is at all time low, no need for this

Reduce Spike Strips Weight from 10 to 5

  • Nearly all cops are shown to already have a spikestrip, and 20% of those were shown to have 2.
  • This would increase those margins by a significant bit without much need
  • They already retain y-inventory on death and the spikestrips never delete

45s Respawn timer for cops

  • "Unlikely to change anything" 🤷‍♂️
  • ^ Actual senior staff reasoning

Sgt+ Must be physically in the Armed G-Hawk to operate it

  • As gay as SAPD are it'd probably gut the APDs response to multiple hawks lost situations or likewise high tension end-game activities like Federals.

  • We're implementing a map rework on alot of the Invasion zones, this will come in the next update. 

Make Invasion Pot Larger

  • We've started development on SWAT, these individuals should add significantly enough to the pot to offset their addition and help balance out the point gains by higher end gangs. We won't be increasing the base pot more at this time.

look what happened to conquest when smokes were disabled....now JSRS bruh

how can we justify disabling JSRS in a way that hands cops more PC and more successful drug-run busts, while everyone else loses immersion and awareness? This change looks like a straight buff to cops, not a balance decision. While simultaneously stating "house searches already on the rise"...crazy.

15s timer to store gear <-- This suggestion was denied due to the fact it cripples gear storing, how about the removal of JSRS crippling player runs?

I believe that it was removed due to the fact that if you use it and I don’t, it greatly gives the parties that uses it an advantage over the others.

Ive played on the server for over 11 years. I’ve never gotten my house or any of my friends houses raided. As I said in the meeting, I’ll shoot down every idea that gives house PC a chance to be increased as the evidence suggests with the same player pop that raids are going up and nothing needs to benefit that.

How is that different from the Y-menu setting allowing you to turn up night brightness? Surely that's an unfair advantage as well then. People are free to install the mod, so I don't see how it's an unfair advantage.

I’m not sure but you can counter the brightness with NVGs immediately where as you can’t with the sound mod. Nothing vanilla has to offer can change that.

Not sure I would count NVG as the same advantage, but sure. What about changing FOV through .cfg?

You and I could go through what-ifs all day, I personally don’t use Jsrs and too each their own but there’s a reason it was brought up and passed

All I'm saying is that the reason you gave doesn't make a lot of sense, as there are plenty of ways for players to gain an advantage (including outside vanilla).

I won't lose a minute of sleep over it, but I also don't really understand it.

I wasn't the one who made the decision, gave my input on the matter that is all I can do. Theres zero counter to what is essentially sound esp, either force it on everyone, or remove it all together. 

Its Olympus, things get abused until they get removed. Just the name of the game currently.
