Date, Time, Place:

  • Gang Wars XVII will be live at 12:00 PM EST on August 15, 2020 Your gang will need to be in Olympus Teamspeak by 11:30 AM.
  • Gang Wars meeting will be at 6:00 PM EST August 8, 2020 in Olympus Team speak, all gangs participating needs to be at this meeting.
  • Submit rosters HERE these rosters will be due by August 9, 2020.

Rules:

  • You may not be currently banned on Olympus Servers. If you try to evade, your account will be permanently banned, and your teammates disqualified.
  • You must have at least 100 hours play time on Olympus servers 
  • Rosters must have a minimum of 8 players, with a maximum of 12. Subs lists are restricted to 3 players. If you do not include correct player IDs, your gang will be disqualified.
  • At any point during Gang Wars if I feel that a player is out of bounds, exploiting, cheating, or in some way not fulfilling the equal fighting game play intended for Gang Wars, they will be killed, disqualified, and their gang disqualified. This is at my discretion.
  • At anytime during this gang wars if you are asked for POV of a specific kill and you do not provide evidence you will be asked to screen share through discord if you fail to screen share or provide POV of what we are asking for your whole gang will be disqualified, Everyone participating must have discord. If you have a problem with this dont play.
  • Any player found impeding the process of Gang Wars in anyway will be subject to administrative action on Olympus Servers. This is at my discretion. Don’t bring on players who are ineligible, banned, or who do not meet the rules stated above.

Information:

  • When applying, make sure that your player list is complete WITH SUBS AND THEIR PLAYER IDS. Players with less than 100 hours on Olympus entertainment servers WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
    • 1st place will receive GW Winner tags in TeamSpeak and on the forums, Gang Uniform in game, Gang Title of your choice, $50 million in game gang funds, 150 Warpoints per player that took part in game and a billboard in Kavala with a roster list and gang picture taken. (This will be a month after Gang Wars XVII winner billboard)
    • 2nd place will receive $35 million in game gang funds, 100 Warpoints per player that took part in game and a nice pat on the back
    • 3rd place will receive $15 million in game gang funds and 50 Warpoints per player that took part in game
    • The MVP of Gang Wars XVI will be decided by the people keeping track of points. Criteria includes possible plays made, kill count, and overall performance. This player will receive 5 million in game money, a custom in-game title that displays Gang Wars MVP, and a pick of any blackwater loot item (including ghosthawks and armed hurons).

 

What was disused and approved in the most recent meeting:


- Minimum of 100 hours on Olympus to play (exceptions can be made).
- 12 players per team maximum, 8 minimum, 3 subs.

- All participants of Gang Wars are expected to screen share if they're asked to do so. If a player is unwilling to share their screen, that team will be disqualified.
- Everyone must record their desktop when they're playing. If you're using ShadowPlay, record a minimum of the 5 past minutes.
- If you're purposely and blatantly using the smoke exploit, you will be disqualified and your gang will lose that round.
- DPI jumping will result in a DQ and your team will lose that current round. Cubby to window jumps are not allowed.
- Looking through rocks and walls is allowed.
- Mk200's, grenades, CSATs, and dopamine shots will NOT be availible.
- Trolling during prep phase will result in disqualification.
- Coin flip for Church or OG.

OG
- 3 quilins for defense.
- 2 ifrits and 2 quilins for attackers.

Church
- 2 box trucks, 3 quilins, and 1 ifrit for defense.
- 2 ifrits and 2 quilins for attackers

Does this mean they will not be provided? Or are they just not allowed at all.

When are rosters due?

I understand why you need to record but surely a different mission file is used like in old gang wars to maximise fps.

Im talking recording is fucked for people with shit PCs. I didn't record for years to maximise fps. Past few gang wars they have just used the olympus mission file with all the shit on it. I talking like a high performance server like in 2016 with the gang war UI and what not

Last gang wars had it's own mission file from what I remember pretty sure

Anyone that is so good that i need a POV of game play because they are borderline cheating will not  have a shit PC. So if i have a guy doing things that i think is so insane that its almost not possible and his excuse is my PC is not good enough to record, he is bullshitting and i am going to DQ his team because no one is that good with a terrible PC, and if they are some how that good with a bad PC he can thank the kids paying $50 a month to compete in arma 3.
