Well, holy shit. I can truly say I never expected myself to ever be in this position looking back on the day I joined the sAPD. (Former RnR Supervisor btw) I am absolutely honored to be given the opportunity to run the APD.
First off I want to personally thank the 2 Chiefs that I served under during my time in the sAPD. @an overweight giant retard and I do not get along more times than not and usually do not see eye to eye, but the way he represented the APD on a regular basis and the brotherhood he formed is something I am going to strive for moving forward. @TheCmdrRex made the decision to take me on as one of his Deputy Chiefs and show me what the 'other side' of the sAPD was like and really showed me a lot of what being Chief was life. I cannot thank him enough for giving me this opportunity.
Now, I dont plan to make this huge post thanking every person who helped me get here nor do I plan to turn the APD upside down. Every person I played with helped contribute to me being a better cop and leader and I thank every one of you for that. So, some things I want to pursue as Chief: TRANSPARENCY - Through my tenure here on Olympus I have seen time after time where all of these conspiracy theories have formulated over the sAPD on multiple topics. I do not want that to be an issue here. I plan to be as open as possible with the general public about how our operations are run. We have no intentions of hiding why you dont get the promotion you do or why we decide to make a change in the APD. We have no intentions of talking about other people's business (If officer A doesnt get promoted - that is HIS business, not officer B). So, at anytime anybody has a question, do not hesitate to ask. QUALITY OVER QUANTITY - For the longest time the number of officers was a huge measurement of success as Chief. That is not how I want to be known as Chief. There are too many cops that see $$$$$ on every single decision they make on cop. Im not letting that fly anymore. Cases of Robo-cop, lack of EFFORT, and overall the cop role will be taken a lot more serious moving forward. I am NOT saying you guys need to try to become any RP Gods here. I just need to see effort from you guys moving forward. AGE EXCEPTIONS - This is a big one for me. Under former command, more under-agers were being given opportunities to obtain a role on APD. There was once a standard where exceptions was meant for the exceptional. That is returning. You can feel completely open to apply as an under-ager, but do know that the standard is going to be high and you need to be an outstanding member without a toxic reputation if you want even a chance.
As per usual, with new leadership, anyone with a blacklist may feel free to re-appeal and I will personally review it and make my decision. Do not have high hopes though.
All exception whitelisted individuals - I will be reviewing all whitelists sometime this weekend or next week. Any rank you were promised was under a different administration and is subject to change. Some people may lose whitelists, some people may go untouched, and some may actually GAIN a whitelist. Any changes will be PMd to you personally.
I have plans moving forward, but these are my immediate goals. Thank you to everyone who supported me or doubted me. You all pushed me to be better and I do hope moving forward the APD can only grow and be a better faction. I absolutely have the guys on my team to do it and we plan to make this shit great.
Feel free to drop any questions you may have about my plans as Chief or really anything at all.
