Rules update 31/03/2019

Some simple clarifications regarding engagements and a change to exploiting section.  Ever since we added bolt cutters which are readily available gaining access to houses is simple and in the past we allowed people to vault and jump into houses since there was no other way.  This change simply returns it to how it was before.

Chapter 1: No Random Death Match [RDM]

 

1. Killing or tazing another player without any role-play will result in administrative action.
   1. If you have been fired at, returning fire is permitted.If someone commits a direct hostile action to you, you may kill them.
   2. If someone commits a direct hostile action to you, you may kill them.
   3. Ex: Lockpicking/stealing your vehicle, rotor tapping, bolt cutting, attempting to escort hostages
   4. Ex: Being armed/pointing a gun in your general direction and/or verbally insulting are NOT considered hostile actions, neither is ramming/running over someone whether or not you believe it is intentional.
2. RP has a 5 minute window, once engaged you are still engaged for this amount of time.
3. Death ends the engagement.  Anyone who is revived by a medic or epi-pened must engage/be re-engaged. 
4. Do not excessively down/taze another player when not needed.

 

Chapter 18: Miscellaneous

 

The below rules/guideline are things that do not fit into other areas but still need to be followed.

1. Using the scroll-wheel or inventory option on a dead APD member or Civilian to attempt to get their weapon is not allowed.
2. You may not drive a vehicle into the water to prevent it from being stolen, searched, ect
3. You may not destroy property to prevent it being searched/raided.
4. Extreme harassment may result in a ban.
5. Switching to a different account after getting banned with your main account may result in both accounts being banned and for longer.
6. If a player goes to the extent of using a game mechanic to prevent other players from playing the game, this can be considered as massive trolling.
7. Anyone found to be doing nothing but trolling on the server in a severe manner may receive a ban.
8. The RP window is 5 minutes so abide by this in regards to situations such as shooting, logging out, storing vehicles, ect.
9. Killing someone in restraints is considered Fail RP.
   1. You cannot restrain someone outside of a redzone and then bring them into a redzone just to kill them. This is also FailRP.
10. Exploiting is considered as abusing an in-game bug or using a game mechanic in a way that it's not intended to be used.
    1. Vaulting/restraining/escorting through windows is exploitng

So what if ur gang is engaged with another gang, you kill one he gets revived but ur still fighting his gang. Can u shoot him as he gets reved or re engage him?

Disregarding war status if there is gang vs gang in the area of death gangs are all engaged.

What if prior to death you taze/restrain a civ, die, get revived by a medic, and see his friend escorting him away. Would re-engagement be necessary or does it fall under the same lines as lockpicking, per your post?

Hostile action no engagement needed AKA him escorting your hostage/suspect is re-engagement

Now sense bolt cutting is considered a Hostile action would breaking into houses through windows key for APD also be considered a Hostile action?

Since you have to announce that you are breaking a door down as a cop you are already engaged regardless.
