@Fiend I've made it past the first boss and am past the cursed great wood, I didn't kill Greirat and I love this NPC
-
There’s two distinct forms of the Greirat quest line. Personally, just play through the game and check them out the one you didn’t get afterwards.
He is the best DS3 NPC though in my opinion. Here’s a video regarding his role and lore in the game, contains spoilers so if you care about that watch it after your play through and you will love the character even more.
The voice actor is also pretty cool. He was in multiple James Bond movies, he played the father of the little girl in Saving Private Ryan who tried to give the girl to the US soldiers, played a role in Dark Souls 2 as well.

I'm trying Dark Souls for the first time and my friends are bullying me cause I can't beat the fucking dude I pulled a sword out of

If you complete his quest line he could have been summoned to help you in the boss fights of Oceiros and Nameless King. Additionally, he could give you stuff like the collapse emote, farrons ring, hawkwood shield, and a heavy gem.
It's not BAD that you killed him. I only completed his questline once. But killing non-hostile NPCs usually limits what you can achieve later on since many items are locked behind certain quests. Quests have no notification by the way in Dark Souls nor do you receive much direction. You just need to meet the requirements which can be found online if you care.
There's only one non-hostile NPC I kill every play through I have simply because he lures you into traps to steal your gear.

If you killed the Shrine Handmaiden then RIP your first play through. Every time you kill her (she respawns) the stuff she sells becomes 20% more expensive. If you killed Greirat too then you deserve 100+ deaths at Pontiff.
And no, you’re not supposed to kill them. They’re pretty much among the only friendly NPCs you encounter with the exception of some others you meet in the world (like Greirat and Anri for example). And if you kill those NPCs in the world the RIP your quest lines.

People on these Forums are Snowflakes lol so what Biden won Republicans still have a majority in the senate
-
This.
Need a “specialist” in American politics to answer a question for me. If an administration is elected but still loses majority in the senate is that the equivalent to a minority government in other countries with parliamentary style of governance? Kinda curious, because if that’s the case then pretty much nothing is going to happen within the U.S. to spark change.

Mans flashed a gun on me at work saying his concealed carry means he doesn’t have to wear a mask mandate or not. I support second amendment but mans best course when being asked something probably isn’t to flash his pistol might set somebody off

Going to be interesting to see who wins, but there is one thought that came into my mind recently. For the people complaining about the tax rate when making over 400k per year, you do realize that the tax rate wouldn’t need to be that high if people stopped offshoring their money, right? If anything, be mad at the people avoiding taxes while you sit there making up for it.
-
@Mr GOAT agreed. And Biden isn’t proposing trickle down economics. Trickle down economics is the proposition of “taxes on businesses and the wealthy in society should be reduced as a means to stimulate business investment”.
This has been displayed time and time again, businesses will take whatever they can. For example, many banks received a bailout, however, kept charging people who lost their job due to covid. Many people were advocating for the idea that since banks received a bailout that they should halt the payments on loans. Now people can disagree or agree with that idea, I don’t really care. I’m just using that situation to illustrate how trickledown economics always fails.

Well it was a good run for Trump, no hate on either side it was honestly a close election. But unless a recount in WI goes through Trump has no more chance at winning this year. Even then I still don't know if he'd come through, well it seems we've got Biden till 2024.

Since when is middle income $400k a year?
And you’re missing my point. If people actually paid their taxes at the current rate then Biden wouldn’t need to increase the tax rates to fund the government programs he wants to fund. It’s difficult to track offshore money and often leads to the government spending more than what they receive in the end, which is why it’s inefficient to find tax evaders compared to young the tax rate. Increasing the tax rate is bad and essentially punishes the people obeying the law, but you’re getting angry at the government when it could be avoided by those very companies that offshore their money.
And I’m kinda tired of the idea of “companies leaving” if they have increased tax rates. Like you said, they can achieve tax reductions. And you would not believe how many companies I heard say that but stay behind anyways. Even with an increased tax rate (which is not 52% by the way, that’s only on personal income, not businesses) they would be better off in the U.S. than fucking off to another country, funding new infrastructure, new employees, new specialists, and getting acquainted with the matter of employment law, etc.

Say what you want but this election proves one thing. No matter how much a president is for the people, the corrupt establishment will not lose again.
-
American politics be like:
If your party wins then tell the opposition to deal with it, this is how the establishment is.
If your party loses then blame the establishment.
You’re just crying like the Democrats did in 2016.

Uh, no. Biden during his time as the senator of Delaware spent much of his time supporting financial deregulation, which is not something a socialist would do. Taxation also does not equal socialism. Capitalism and socialism deal with the means of production and who has ownership over it. If Biden wins it's not like the government will assume ownership over the means of production thus removing the free market. He instead is going to use taxes to aid government services while deregulating the market in other ways. For example, and this is hypothetically speaking, if the government covered healthcare than businesses won't have to offer healthcare insurance to their employees. This aligns more with neo-liberalism with strong ties to modern liberalism, something the the U.S. heavily subscribes towards. It's not entirely collectivist, nor is it entirely individualistic.
I don't like Trudeau, but your attempt to attack Canada is kind of hilarious. Yes, the GDP decreased, but that trend only started in 2020, you know, COVID-19. It was steadily climbing before that, even when Trump put tariffs on Canada. And if you wish to talk about it, Trump took off those tariffs in September because Canada was about to retaliate with $3.6 billion dollars worth in tariffs. Trudeau is an idiot, but we do have some people in cabinet that are able to use their brain.

If you are 18+ go do your civic duty and go vote if you haven't and are in the United States.
-
Imagine thinking politicians care if you vote or not. They either want you to vote for them or not vote at all. Politics in the U.S. is hostile and honestly (as a foreigner).
By the way, independent parties are not designed to win. They’re designed to generate pressure for policy change by using voters as political pressure. Each voter that chooses independent (and there’s like, 20+ of them in the 2020 election nationwide) over the two official parties take away voters. If the democrats or republicans want those voters they will have to cave in to the values of said independent candidate. In practice, independents don’t run for presidency but for political power through controlling the vote, no matter how small. It can create a great difference when one considers the first past the post type method the U.S. election uses.
