What if part of the reason that guy killed you is that he doesn't like seeing enemy gang members in Pyrgos? Then, even by just coming back and getting a car and leaving, you're still defeating the reason that he killed you. This is a fairly simple rule to follow, and it's supposed to be annoying. It's a consequence for death.
