  1. The poll was in reference to one of Rexos points he was making in why apd members may not face a ban when a civ would. I was just seeing how accurate his statement was.
  2. For transparency, this is how it works: For APD related matters - All server rule and APD handbooks currently go to APD IA where an sAPD admin will handle the ticket. Non sAPD do not handle these reports in any way shape or form. For APD reports being a server rule - the APD punishment is based on merit, recent ban history, and the weight of what an APD note means on their names in regards to promotions and whatnot. Which so far in this poll, is proving @ Rexo 's point that APD members think that notes are worse than being banned. The counter argument made my several of you has been that non sAPD admins should handle these tickets to get away from bias reports and for fairness across the board. I wont get into each staff members' opinions because that is their right to give it to you if they would like. For me, I think transparency is one of the most important things Faction leaders and staff should present. I believe Admins that are not sAPD should have the right to handle these reports and then let sAPD handle the APD punishment. Rexo has made many great points to counter that, but that is where I am at. I think being consistent with all bans is most important. Theres more staff related opinion about processes I dont want to disclose but thats the general gist of it. Consistency, Fairness, and Transparency. That is what I want and what I believe is fair to our commumity.
  3. i can fix one of em for ya >:D pull out an use your ghawk or die (ban)
  4. It was like that once before, but its a bit different now.
  5. The Poll has served its purpose, which was just to see the accuracy of a point made by Rexo. Staff have heard your concerns and are currently discussing both sides of the argument in relation to APD server rule breaks being handled by more than just sAPD Admins. Your opinions here matter, so please feel free to reply with your own points for either side. We want to make sure everyone is getting fair treatment across the board. (please do not vote if you are a career civ or havent been cop in a long time)
  6. I want to be one of the cool kids so @ Mighty fuck you stop doing your job you piece of garbage!!

Id take a ban to get Tanoa back tbh

  7. When I first joined the server and was trying to rank up as a medic, I failed my first test because I literally was thinking to pull back to lift (never flew lol) and went straight to the hospital. I went in editor and spawned like 50 or more Helis and kept flying. Aced my next test. At least that’s what a drunk @ Mercury told me
  8. Shutup before I re create ballers on a budget again and make you join so we can troll caps
  9. Happy birthday @ Creepy , may the tower lag forever be in your favor

  10. TBF this isnt every day unless theres federal events but when new promotions happen, the seniors who got new toys will play a lot and the junior APD will then want to play with them so you get a bigger swarm of players. It should settle a bit. But, also, there's only one server and cops have mandatory times to make each week. Tbf that was not his point. 20 cops regularly patrolling even split up means the entire map is locked down essentially. Cant control that people need/want to play tho
  11. Happy birthday to 1/3 of the greatest mod trio ever, miss you bud @ iPopsicle

  12. He was gone before I joined thankfully

  18. I agree with the fact that this would make being chief feel not worth my time. Being chief has so much shit to it outside of the game and being attacked nonstop by my own people would be my Que to go. I like @ Winters and being I see how much time and effort he puts in this the faction and the server unnoticed, I don’t share the same feeling as everyone else, but if he did/does feel disincentivized, that’s usually the que to see who should take over. But the root problem goes much deeper than Winters. There’s more retired sapd in here about a big topic than active sapd. Shouldn’t ever be the situation.
  19. More notes; In the video Nicole posted, King seemed to freeze in place like he understood what he was doing was prob not okay. Again, lack of context. But that’s what I got out of it. I will scream this for all sAPD to hear - TRANSPARENCY. The entire community would appreciate the sAPD in a much broader way if they truly understood the processes happening behind the scenes. Some things are secretive for a reason, I know that very well. But right now there’s 0 transparency for the jAPD and the rest of the community. The outlook isn’t great and the opinions they’re coming up with make sense based on the information they are given. - This also includes all rules being transparent and available in the handbook. No APD rules should be enforced via PSAs. They should all be listed directly and clearly in the handbook. Friends should have a way harder time becoming sAPD than the regular corps who bust their ass. I know how dumb the sapd mentality can get where a PO/corp makes one mistake and is labeled as retarded forever before getting a chance. The way to fix that outlook is to play with the corporals and POs. I could think of a few corps already that would challenge the sAPD to think other ways and have been around a while. But probably don’t get played with regularly by sAPD. The process feels lazy and very word of mouth vs actual experience. This has become an attack people you don’t like thread. If anything, @ nicole being the only one with the balls (figuratively speaking) to be in here and speaking her opinions and going back and forth is more than pretty much any other senior is giving here. Ask genuine questions. Stop cat fighting. It could be productive if everyone put their egos away. @ Clashingtin is here too but we know the casino took his balls years ago
  20. This is why it’s important for sAPD to give a shit about responding to these posts. Transparency and facts matter. All these things coupled together is a MUCH different perception than just the event situation in itself. With all of those facts, he would have likely been removed at a sooner date. Obviously King can still rebuttal against all of this, but OICs are the simple number facts about a Sgt’s desk duties. It’s pretty damning.
  21. Some other points; I don’t know @ King ‘s situation as a whole since he’s gotten SGT to know his history or his activity, but I’ve known him a long time and he’s a great dude to play and talk with. That being said, I do believe that what he did was wrong. Even when the events are literal cancer, I think it’s every active senior on the server’s responsibility to respond to federal events. If it’s cancer just tell some japd to go do something else and then just withstand it until the bomb blows at least. That being said, if he had a clean record and no activity issues prior, I don’t see how it had to be a forced retirement being there is an argument to be made with the wording. He was 100% wrong, but there was probably better ways to handle it if he had a clean record. One thing I think is missing too is just a difference in mindsets on sAPD. Every single person in line to be a future successor of chief are all Staff. They all deserve their spots, but I think this sAPD is really missing a pure non staff APD guy who’s got strong opinions in favor of APD and fighting on the server to challenge the staff on the roster. The fact that NO sAPD are in here actually giving strong minded opinions one way or another is wild to me. They don’t have to agree with this post at all. But I can’t remember any former regime that I was around for that wouldn’t have at least half the seniors in here talking mad shit one way or another. tldr; sAPD need a backbone and the non staff dudes need to start challenging with their own opinions. It helps the APD a lot when there’s debates to be had. Everyone pretending to agree is fake. edit: shoutout to @ nicole for being the only one to finally come in and speak their mind on it.
  22. Bro tryna expedite his path to Sgt all in one post
  23. I 100% agree on the ranking structure. We had SO many less senior roles above SGT when we had 2 FULL servers daily with 20+ cops on each server pretty regularly. As you said, it isnt like the people in those roles dont deserve it. But The top of the CoC's responsibility is the bottom of the CoC. Further distancing that as well as having extra sr ranks just for people to be promoted serves no real purpose. With how many players play now compared to before. 2 Dep Chiefs and straight down to LTs would be PLENTY. That being said, nobody should lose their ranks over that either. But I think future structuring should reduce those top roles as people either step down or are weeded out. If anything, have more Sgts (where most of the actual APD work is outside of Chief), which involved developing and helping other corps. One of my favorite parts about being chief was talking about the POs and Corps at each meeting and making sure we were making seniors play with them and learn who they were. I am not directly involved with any sAPD shit these days, so this is my outside perspective from personal experience. I have people I have great relationships with in sAPD now, but that doesn't change my POV. As for @ Pledge , he also was demoted for accidentally breaking wave rule once.. he knows a thing or 2 about it ;D
