Nothing on R&R? Been a minute, idk how these work exactly anymore

It's been like the Saharan desert when it comes to ideas with the R&R. There is only so much you can do without revamping the whole faction.

If you have some ideas, message Marcus or one of the coords, they'll probably give you feedback on the idea or w/e you know how it works.

Small groups that play the server dont run across this issue, if you're referencing huge groups with 4-8 trucks who just spilt in 6 different directions and its impossible to fight with 4 people on the ground, hey be my guest. Banks & Feds there should be no issue with it at all. ENDGAME events.

They absolutely do run into those situations. Realistically, if the APD gets a chance at loading lethals as soon as possible, they always go that route. I'm guilty of it too.

I have 100% loaded lethals wave 1 after someone died from an epi, and I know plenty of others have as well.

It should be a simple QOL change. The hostage situation charge was simply meant for a genuine hostage situation not to cover down on the fact that adding kidnapping govt official was void from being added.

It doesn’t take one mag of 6.5 maybe 7.62 but i’ve never seen a hawk get dropped my one mag of 6.5 and I spent an a lot of time in them.

it was not meant to be specifically for hostage negotiations.

Based on the server rules, when someone is in your restraints, they are considered your hostage. Based on the ticket guide, you can add it to anyone participating in a hostage negotiation OR when a cop is restrained (doesn't need to be a negotiation for cops).

Then there is the whole concept of the script just applying to everyone in the area with a gun... If a cop gets tased in the middle of Athira and a kid is walking by in the tutorial with his rook when a cop gets restrained, then he will get charged with kidnapping a gov't official even though he wasn't participating.

With the concept of the APD being able to add the charge, all it does is require the APD member to read the names of the civilians that are participating in the tasing/restraining/robbing of a cop.

As for the 6.5 I'm just going off what I've heard I personally haven't tested it but I've heard from others that are in ghost hawks just as much as you if not more that it just takes 6.5 🤷‍♂️

What was the reason behind denying a QOL change for the APD holding civs accountable for robbing cops and medics?

What is the need for another charge when you can already add a hostage situation to anyone who partakes in the restraining/robbery of a cop?

Why is a faster, more durable, unarmed version of a flying death machine LEGAL, but the bench hellcat and taru arent?

probably cuz you can still shoot the main rotor out with 1 6.5 mag 🤷‍♂️. Taru bench has been illegal since before I played the server.

I feel like this should probably be rewritten something like: "Intentionally rotor tapping an illegal aerial vehicle against an object (E.g: Wall, ground, telephone pole) so that even if it is repaired it can not be flown again".

Why doesn't this apply to all illegal aerial vehicles?
Why doesn't something like this apply to ALL vehicles if it's the same as water logging?

Questions for how it is currently written:

Does this only apply if the pilot of the ghosthawk rotor taps the ghosthawk they are flying? Or does this also apply to someone else rotor tapping a ghosthawk?

Does this apply to the armed Huron?

Does this also apply to an armed plane, but moving it around so that it's impossible to take off again?

@ David Miller  already explained it, but to simplify what you are reading:

    Green- Approved
Yellow-Adjusted original ideas (ex: The rotor tapping against rules was compromised to the ability to sling rotor-tapped helicopters)
    Red-Denied

This is @ Cowboy- 's first roundtable summary post. The way he wrote it would make sense to someone who regularly deals with the roundtable section, but may appear confusing to those who do not. I already mentioned it to him, and I'm sure it will improve in the future.

Not sure why the amount of rockets crafted is an important stat to mention. Wouldn't rocket kills be the more important stat? Has RPG kills seen a large uptick in use in the last 5 month span? Just because something is crafted a bunch doesn't mean there is an imbalance.

Wouldn't it be smarter to make Launchers a more rare drop and leave rockets a craftable so you aren't taking value away from scrap? Ironically aren't you just increasing the attainability of said dangerous item? Having it occur more just means more launchers and rockets will exist on the server and more will trickle down through the black market to players. Doesn't sound well thought out.

No one crafts RPGs to not use them. They either get sold on the auction house for ~250k+ or get used after being crafted. It will be increased more at events where you actually have to fight it out. Airdops, BW, Escort, etc. all require you to interact with others players (maybe the off chance an airdrop doesn't) so it will be more rewarding in regard to those events. They will also be purchasable with warpoints, but then you have to fork up warpoints for rockets instead of other things like suppressors, csats, granits, etc.

Crafting is the easiest sleeper thing to do. There is no one ever caught crafting and it is done with ease.

On 6/16/2025 at 2:55 AM, Gwate said:

Why? Scrap is already a risk. The places you go to craft are big illegal zones. The places you go to scrap are illegal zones. Getting the chance to scrap things usually means you had to fight someone to get the vehicle in the first place. It takes time to craft items so if someone wants to jump you and take your shit they can. All crafting rooms are tiny cramped spaces that are third person peak abusable and can just be naded once to clear the room.

This is actually the most retarded change I ever heard in my life. Also this isn't a heavy rp server, its a lite rp server. Just because you obtain it through illegal methods to craft illegal things doesn't mean you gotta make it illegal for what reason? Realism? Then shouldn't the moonshine collection spots be illegal since you need to drive off-road to get to them which is illegal and the items you collect are used to brew an illegal item.

Why do we you gotta add another risk on top of 16 others.

Scrap and crafting is the definition of EZ mode. There is a slight risk that you run into another civ with scrap on you, and you may lose it. I can safely say, since I have come back to the server, I have NEVER ran into another player doing scrap. The majority of the items crafted from scrap are illegal. If the APD were to catch a player at the abandoned factory, they literally cannot do anything to them unless the items are already crafted. You could be in the middle of crafting and cancel, and just watch the APD leave, and then continue to craft illegal things. There was simply nothing the APD could do against scrap.

Something so useful should have a risk. The APD was basically unable to do anything against it, but now this gives them a chance.

Yeah once again, “senior staff and development team” only half of them voted on it some didn’t even know… making up problems out of thin air and taking huge steps like this without ever even giving a video or submitting an AI is unheard of and just an overall horrible decision. Doing something like this to people who dedicated thousands of hours towards the faction on a whim is crazy work. The blame isn’t solely on you but also “senior staff and dev team” for letting it happen.

There are many ways to counteract people sitting in a dome, a ghost hawk is not the only reason.

loading a manned fuel truck in the back?

If u load a fuel truck in the back you are preventing anything else from being loaded in it which is the issue with the blackfishes currently. They are too good of a getaway vehicle for other vehicles like gold trucks. If you load a fuel truck in it, then u won‘t be able to load a gold truck in it. No one really cares about just a blackfish flying on its own doing nothing.

wheres this at from the 07/30/22 roundtable

    yvJigjQ.png

    and this from 06/25/22

I know this is mostly a bug fix/QOL update but just wanted to see if these were forgotten

Not how roundtables work. When something gets approved, Trello cards are created for the ideas. Those are then sorted into priority categories the Sr/Lead devs think should be set in. They focus more on higher priority things/what they are interested in. The devs also get assigned cards. It doesn't get done based on when the idea was approved.

Could have at least tried to fix illegal run processing bonus this patch though.  Honestly, it's been like 5 months and nothing has been done about it.

Once again since you didn’t respond in discord… did u submit a bug report?

Barely.  If you aren't gonna make it worthwhile, there's no point even fiddling with it.

Tell that to any game that has ever existed. Devs always tweak minor things whether its a small buff or nerf.

You didn't discuss it with CC, you did it underhandedly.

Gang uniforms, designs, etc. are not required to be discussed with civ council. Not even administratIve staff are involved in those matters.

I cannot fathom how a MAJORITY OF 25 PEOPLE think it's a good idea to incentivize medics being taken hostage at feds. Do you guys EVER play cop, or know how easy it is to take a medic hostage? Don't want medics taken hostage at feds? Take REAL steps to make it stop happening. Not meme fixes that do the exact opposite of what you're trying to accomplish.

The reason it was added in the first place was to decentivise the medics from intentionally being taken hostage. At the time when it was added it was quite reasonable, however at this time the medics literally sit there for 20+ minutes doing nothing besides occasionally hitting their middle mouse button. The medics should be given some comp for their 20 minutes of time WASTED. All of us agreed that its kind of fucked, however if it is clear that the medics are intentionally being taken hostage for feds again it can always be reverted.

Not to mention that DB literally payed medics on the down low to be taken hostage so like even if you really wanted to prevent them from wanting to with the 50% or whatever it was in their pay whilst during a fed, they can always just get payed by wire with money.... If the civs decided to be generous or corroborated with them.

Hey man. I mentioned two other alternatives they could have decided to try and push on the roundtable, but they insisted on this one.

the server hasnt had crashing problems like this ever until kind of recently, literally reminding me of how much asylum used to crash, dont think adding a whole new taxi system is the way to go answering that one. also considering the new evidence locker crashed the server every time it blew, just another reason i think its dev sided the server crash.

Yeah cuz some cheats have ways of crashing the server.

The taxi system was previously in the server, so its as simply as copy and pasting it, and having map designers make the locations or whatever.

I would go further in detail about the devs doing shit, but that's just pointless cuz clearly your close minded on this topic after what Yeti already said.

Moved the bank again… pygros side of the map is just dead space now lol

Unfortunately the previous location of the bank was horrible. Cops had to push thru sand heavily slowinf down their vehicle and could only push from one direction unless going thru the water. It was too one sided and banks were happening less and less often. Another thing to keep in mind is that the amount of money bags that spawn in the vault depends on how many unique cops show up to the bank, so if cops push more you will make more money.

I think the bank is in a good location now, however my only concern are the two office building but we shall see how it ends up.

    Civ event BTW

    Airdrop adjustments

    • Lower restriction to Corporal+
    • Give access to Corporal to authorize lethals during an airdrop
    • No Code 3 requirement
    • Civs 45 second timer to open crate
    • Cops have to wait 2 minutes, then can start seizing. Don't have to stop after getting shot

the 45 second timer needed to happen. It was broken that as soon as it dropped u could immediately grab stuff out of it.

It announces when cops are seizing it, it takes 2 minutes for them to seize the airdrop. So you have 2  whole minutes to kill a guy that is 5 feet from the airdrop. If you can't do that you are dumb.

Who cares if its lowered to corporal+, that means more aidrops happening. (its lowered so that corporals can call in airdrops instead of just sgts+)

No code 3 requirements, aids having lights and sirens constantly going in fights like these.

COrporal access to lethals so that everyone participating can have lethals and people don't get tased at the aidrop.

You are complaining about like 1 buff towards the apd for the aidrop, which is after 2 minutes they can seize it. Everything else is simple fixes that should have been a thing already and the corporal access allows for more people to call in airdrops, if they spend $15 a month to use a airdop on cop that is up to them.

@ DeadPool  u saw what else they wanted. That got denied because it was a civ event and will always be a civ event.

Made plane deliveries give you less than 2m an hour 😞

The plane deliveries required you to use most of your brain and attention, instead of sitting half AFK gathering and processing like regular runs. Now plane deliveries are hardly worth the pain.

plane delivery missions were broken as fuck. Planes are easy to fuck to fly and a very low chance of being robbed. It was almost as bad as salvage runs.
