Kyle didn't bring a gun across state lines to go to a protest. He we staying with his dad in Kenosha that night and the firearm was already in Kenosha at the time too. He was also allowed to legally posses the firearm and thus the charge was dropped before the trial began.
I've noticed a lot of misinformation about the trial
