Add MK18 for Sergeant+

^ @Decimus Since I remember you buggin me about it back then.

Ghosthawk buddy system for pilot/gunner to share lethal money

^ That was supposed to be worked on during the end of my tenure. Yikes that it still wasnt implemented. Good that it finally is.

As for the income reduction, is that on the basic paycheck or on all things cop (Seizes, bounties, etc)?

FYI for all of those complaining about the vest change for corporals. Tier 3 vests were only added to corps because of a bug with Arma 3 and the police vest(tier 2). They were supposed to be switched back to tier 2 over a year ago, but that didn't happen.

Honestly biggest problem with it is how dumb it's going to look with the uniform.  It doesn't have much differences besides the looks, most guns I tried below regular mx only took +1 shot at 100m.  Most times you encounter a civ they're most likely going to have an MK 1 unless they are in Kavala, MK 1 takes 2 shots for both vests.  Not really heard anyone complain that Corporals are difficult to kill due to their vests or anything like that either tbh.

The rational given was that making the change could vary different situations. Cosmetically we can always get new uniforms made. Another reasoning is that there are plenty of more active corporals than ages ago.

Downvote all you want @Rossco you're the one not making @buckie support team. That's your loss.

I understand the money reduction as cops are making way too much money, but for something as small as the T3 vests which only change the amount of shots you can take by 1 bullet by 1 for 6.5 and below isn't going to dramatically change situations.  But perhaps Sergeants could be given T3 vests considering T4 is only +1 shot from T3 from some guns (haven't tested a lot for T4) and we could see how that changes situations also?  Doesn't really make sense having 0 tier gap between PO and CPL but 2 tier gap eith CPL and SGT, and not really as if Staff SGTs play all that often so I don't really think it makes a difference them keeping T3.

As you can see by the changelogs and round tables in the past whenever APD nerfs come around the only people who get routinely shafted are junior APD while seniors get more with no major nerfs.

They're the ones who go to the negotiating table, so, when civ council brings up big nerfs in exchange for them getting new toys they don't think twice because they have no skin in the game. They can throw us under the bus all day because the changes never affect them negatively.

The only way to fix this would be to unionize the Jr APD and demand a seat at the table with strikes or slowdowns as a consequence. but alas this is just a video game, we're all expendable in the eyes of the seniors if we stir up trouble, and the SAPD won't stop looking out for themselves and begin looking after their people unless they're forced into it. Which will never happen.

People play this game to make money and have fun with that money, I really dont understand why everyone hates the income on cops. I cant just go buy 10 titans and a LIM and kill everyone lmfao.  Cops are already super restricted as it is to limit ways of making money but a flat cut to everything is harsh.

Tier 3 should be for staff Sergeant imo. They don't need tier 4. Civ council and some of staff think this will help the server. I'm all for trying it, we can always go back.

Then give seniors t3 vests. And only the chief gets t4.

Sergeants have t4 and Lt+ have tier 5. There's also 30+ corporals playing far more hours than Senior APD. The issue is that civ council and others feel the corporal rank is a little op. The vest should've been changed back a year ago.

The nerf for the money was my idea after speaking with civ council, then speaking Senior APD we sought to hit those with the least risk of loss the most. Corporal and higher have a higher chance of loss, so that's why you were hit the lightest. I can't remember the last time I made money on cop as a Senior. If I do by the end of the week I'm back to where I was. Corporals make more than half the money that all Deputies and PO's make, pretty crazy tbh. 15% and a vest isn't going to be killer.

Seniors are seldom the cause of nerfs, now it's happened. Think about camping houses, warzone raids etc. We think about how Junior APD will be affected. And honestly, having 10 cops on with a 50 pop server isn't good for anyone. Cops ride around and do nothing and civs log off because they can't do anything. In the end this is a attempt to increase the amount of people playing civ and reduce the amount of people only playing cop to get money. If you're a career cop you'll be fine, but if you plan on always playing cop to get money for civ, you're going to have a bad time.

I don't really agree with that. Yes, you are restricted in making money. However, when you do you can make a bunch on cop.

While I disagree with your premise behind APD nerfs, I can assure you the civilian council takes into account how it will affect all ranks on the APD. We don't have sAPD on the council, but we do have Corporals, POs and Deputies. I feel like we use a wide variety of opinions when presenting a decision to the staff, and it's important to remember that's how it works. We don't do things in an echo chamber and ultimately the staff has full control over what gets added to the servers.

However, I've mentioned this before to others that it is a little strange that both the whitelisted factions do not have any junior rank representation. While they were all obviously junior ranks themselves at one point, the game changes, the meta shifts and the playstyle of both factions will change over time. I feel junior ranks, in general, are in a unique position to offer their opinion and it should not be discounted.

The civilian council for example handles this by recruiting individuals who have very few hours on the server, in addition to others with thousands of hours. Older players on the council (myself included) are sometimes stuck in their ways, they might already have a foothold and a far easier time than newer players. We feel it's very important to try and represent all players and their experience, not just a subsection of them.

Still Its not like since I have millions of dollars, I now am a stronger player. I still only have a SUPER limited selection of stuff to pick from. My money is  completely betting fodder.

Honestly I really don't mind any of the APD nerfs except the vest. Not even for the protection but the carrier lite just looks so much better than the blue PO vest with all of the corporal uniforms.
Please give us a different vest / design something / BEST OPTION:  script the carrier lite to armor level 2
I think it just looks good honestly, but I do agree cops are strong on this server so the nerfs are pretty fair.
