On a real note though, I'm working on it.

yo this guy ☝️ is a crackhead that only developed AC on Olympus for literally 4+ months, if anyone can do it, even beyond BE, its him 😛

There are a LOT of organizational and structural factors that go into Olympus' use of TS3, including but not limited to faction organization, Staff organization, security and permission controls, and overall tighter tolerances than a Discord with over a thousand members. Additionally, Discord was not well-known at Olympus' start, so TS3 kind of maintains a de-facto status as the main communication platform.

Discord has significantly improved since the early days, and Olympus has dedicated significantly more resources towards the Discord server, but I do not believe a majority of Staff, Developers and/or players feel the need to focus on a complete shift. Not to mention, it is sort of a "tradition" for gangs and groups that have formed on Olympus to make their own Discord servers which often hold many members of the community and get used heavily.

If you ever wish to use the Discord, it is always available and does get used for things such as Discord Support tickets significantly.

    Hope this helps!

    ^^ Practically nailed it.

TS Will always be Olympus's primary use of communication within the community outside the forums. First and foremost, because of the way its structured and organized with permissions. Discord does not have as much options in what we can/cant customize.

Second being the fact that you have to add people as a friend to private message them on Discord, unless they leave their DM's open. With teamspeak you do not.

I will say I have always hated discord in its early days, but recently ive found it quite useful for communication with certain aspects of staff, as well as the giveaways, support tickets, etc. I am slowly adding new things to the Discord as well, as most of our new players are using that anyway. Goal is to get our Discord partnered at some point, so ill probably start hard focusing that soon.

you could do other runs, get a gang to do runs and make a shit ton of money. Like Noble, Tree, etc. they all made millions upon millions of dollars when runs were worse than they are now.

You can also still do plane runs, they just don't give u as much as they used to.

When I had Trident, and making money was 10x worse then it was now, Kev literally led our gang to $100+Mil in gang funds through runs and feds in less than a week. People just need to get creative 😞

i really subbed for 3 months

I mean I did tell you not to do it and your exact response was “meh I’ll do it anyway yolo” 👀😂

DW Founders circle gets it but it’s not permanent. Still trying to determine how long we give you guys the free sub for.

@ Mako  @ Fraali see I told you LMAO

Now my question is will the subscription also go towards the normal donation rewards?

No, it’s a separate entity of Olympus, where you get the rewards as long as you pay the fee. If we made it add towards your normal donation history it will defeat the purpose of the fee in the long run. Oly+ will constantly have new things added/removed/rotated, where as the donation goal will give you permanent rewards. Both the donation tiers and Oly+ will have its own unique entities. Of course certain things will be shared across both on certain occasions (like right now the $30/50 tiers are on Oly+), but that doesn’t mean it will permanently stick there.

15 bucks more worth than 1000 dollar founder circle

Founder's Circle has a subscription to this, you do not need to purchase it to receive the rewards.

As it currently stands Founders circle has a free sub, TBD how long it lasts if its to even go away.

i mean i forums update isnt just a 'style' or 'theme' update... basically there are security features and updates that need to be applied... old themes/styles may not be supported on the newer version, thus resulting in a different look...

As if @Ryanwill see it... pffft

Hit the nail on the head!

    also.. noticed 🤓 wrong!

@Ryan Yeah man! Gary is clean! worst thing he will do is VDM you 49 times while your storing gear, Maybe call the APD to your location or chase you with a Kajman and blow up all 13 of my hatchbacks in one day!. Very helpful fella indeed. :^)

Oh, that’s not as bad compared to the usual. I take it back sir @Grandma Gary 🙂

I've witnessed a lot of police vehicles descending from the sky.   Tell these things to the kids just starting out.

Side Note:  I'm not your man,  Fu**  your men too

That’s kind of crazy how you happened to watch me, @Grandma Gary or @Fraali do these things, notify us in staff dispatch about it, and when I personally teleported to you and told you it’s not a hacker it’s 3 of the highest ranking staff on the server screwing around, that you ignored it and tried to put it into a post for it to validate your argument ^_^

Can this be confirmed and put in as a rule, or a visual indicator on the map? It seems very easy to clarify.

    Id say its scenario based

Thats not a set number, but a general area you want to stay in.

There is no official zone for it, hence why its not in the rules. If its quite obvious they are going to that cartel to fight you, then if its beyond 500 meters by just slightly we obviously wont ban for it. If its something as simple as driving past right, and they get tapped out then thats when we'd say its RDM. Being that this cartel is fairly deep, you should be able to easily tell whos coming and who isnt.

To be honest i think this is just a buggy patch. The new UI causes major issues when there is low pop. Once they fix the buy menu, house spamming, etc i think it wont be terrible. Back in the day both servers would max and it wouldn't this bad.  I know when they boosted to 140 they got a stronger server too so idk i dont think its the pop. Im sure someone who knows 10x what i do will clear this up 🙂

Seems the issues have arised from the latest Arma update, should hopefully be fixed soon

Honestly, pulling up stats in the last 7 days isn't proving that server 1 has more population considering that server 1 is up 24/7 while server 2 is up during the late afternoon and very early morning. But I understand why and it's because of server population. It sucks having 40 players on one server and 20 on another and having nothing todo. But if you all really cared about keeping server 2 up then play on server 1 and get more people to play so that staff can see that they need server 2 to be open.

I mean even with these numbers, im still not closing down S2. I know that Olympus can handle the pop for both if we played the right cards. Seeing the new player count for the last 7 days, and even last few weeks shows we definitely get some traction just dont hold the retention. Which I spoke to @Fraali and @Mako about a few days ago, so we started thinking up some ideas to keep new players on Olympus. Hopefully what we got planned will stick.
