Just a suggestion; What if the blindfold is only to be used through transportation and then is to be removed before the official processing begins? By then even if the scrub decides to break RP and tell his boys where he is, their time limit to find him has been taken down by a lot. Its how APD handled my processing today and I thought it was smooth. I was blindfolded right before I entered the heli and was taken off before he searched for my licenses. Keeping the blindfold on through the entire process does seem to take away a lot of the RP feel. Possibly be a few exceptions as well. For instance: Youre processing (VX) Billy in the front room of Kavala HQ. Halfway through the processing, the rest of VX finds their way to the HQ. At this point, Billy knows where he is, so you can re-blindfold him when you see an opening and move him to a new spot and then take off the blindfold before beginning the process again so that way he has no way to guide the rest of his gang where he is located. Just a rough idea off the top of my head.

The amount of gear definitely costs more than the weapon. +1 to this. While im not a source, the 5 years I spent in the army came with experiences. To break it down a bit, just the coat, pants, and hat costs nearly 100 dollars. Still havent bought the boots, any protective gear, or ammo. So, Id agree with Joel here. A whole gear set will definitely cost more than the weapon itself.

I dont think training would accomplish anything whatsoever. Like most have said, you get better with experience. Maybe seeing the expectations raised would be something, but in the end reporting is the only way to know cops are neglecting part of the job. The "I don't believe you" excuse just seems like they want to finish processing quicker, but some stories simply deserve it. Although I usually explain why it's not believable. For instance, I'm processing Bob and Bob says "I had a protector while I was picking mushrooms for my house and 9 MC tried to rob me so I had to kill them all". Riggghhhhtttttttt. So I'll explain how I don't see how any person is going to 1v9 likely fully equipped gang members in an open field like mushroom etc etc. Also try to remember a long story isn't always a good story. Especially if you have shot at the cops in any way shape or form. Any one who has been processed by me knows I always listen and try to work with you if you turned yourself in. Unless you're in my custody and start threatening to break rules then I have to get you in jail in record time All in all, if you're a cop yourself, do your part and help the other officers who lack in the RP department. Tell them what they need to work on and how to work on it. Badgering them as a civ will just come across as you seeming salty. If you're on duty with them and notice this same lack of rp, don't ignore it because you're not being affected by it. Eventually you will be, so help out. If you don't try to help the cadets get better, you're part of the blame.

To add to this and my previous note; if you feel that this player is probably brand new to the server and he makes a mistake like RDM, try to explain how the server works without yelling at them. As medic I've witmessed people rdm others as I'm just reviving them. Usually I'll explain what they just did and why it's wrong (whIle trying to RP the entire thing) and usually I get responses like "oh shit my bad" or "oh well ill apologize when he gets up". There is the occasional "fuck him" but for the most part these newbies don't know they are doing wrong. Most games, if not all, they have played did not need you to visit a website and read a bunch of rules. Try to educate and help them become valuable members of the community.

It's the holidays. Christmas time and arma free weekends are going to be filled with a lot of new players who just got the game and have no idea how an RP server works. Record and report and move on.
