All of these recent updates to federal events that I am aware of seem to me as either indirectly or directly APD buffs. With this R&R update, medics will have less of an incentive than when they got taken hostage in the first place to do anything at feds because they will now get nothing for sitting in a box scroll wheeling “Give Dopamine” for 25 minutes with the rare chance of running across fed for a revive or two. At full strat feds, I fear that medics won’t revive anyone and that they will end up being seen in mid doing karate emotes until lethalled. And with the dome strat nerf, the back door can be opened and leave the civs getting shot from the front and back instead of just from infront.

Granted you should have never been rewarded for being taken hostage. Unfortunately some of you legit never tried to get taken hostage, but the incentive of money drives multiple medics to intentionally get taken hostage or allow it to happen. Or have a medic die in the fed just to request medic to get revived because he definitely doesn’t want to leave the hostage situation. One of those situations where the bad ruin it for the good.

It's not about being rewarded for being taken hostage. Most of us hate it to begin with. I do understand though that there are a few that like to be hostage, but they are braindead. You already make next to nothing and it's a huge waste of time. I think the most I have done within a thirty min fed, is maybe 5 dope requests, and 3 revives. I could have made so much more being outside that event. I think if we are gonna go the route of not letting medics get paid(shit pay at that) for a federal event, then instead of that, another rule should be implemented where it's against server rules to take a medic hostage for one. That would make it more fair, and not have us waste thirty mins of sitting in a pillbox and not getting a dime for our time.

Honestly I can agree with not having medics be allowed to revive other medics during a Federal event, that is Fair. However not allowing medics to be compensated for their time is completely and downright idiotic. Medics 9/10 times do NOT want to be taken hostage for a Federal, i seriously can't even count the amount of times I've gone to take a medic hostage and had them tac respawn on me or kill themselves to avoid capture. This money change needs reverted back asap, there is NO point in it and it's a huge slap in the face to every person that actually plays medics

I feel like this change was made due to the schemers who would exploit feds with their friend on medic... Just another example of how a sneaky minority can ruin a great thing. :(

However; if any medics CL on a hostage situation, they deserve serious consequences -- that's not cool to do ...

In all honesty, we make enough money as is. I, for one, enjoy seeing feds unfold and seeing the fight from the ground! It can be a fun refresher, even without money.

Show me the carfax on that statistic, honestly. You know DAMN WELL the inverse of what you said is true. I’ve seen a plethora of medics that *willingly* get taken hostage and/or outright ignore the APD when we tell them REBELS ARE COMING TO TAKE YOU HOSTAGE.

I'm not lying when I say that, ask any of my guys. We try to bait medics into revives or whatever and they ignore us, we go hunt them down at hospitals and they tac respawn or just down right ignore us and get into helis and take off. Maybe Medics just don't like us personally but those are legit statistics for my group.
