Nerfing SDV space from 280 to 80?

nerf on salvage would be way too hard

i can see nerfing it lightly

but dont do me like that.

and for christ sakes make the fish prices higher

fisherman need to be recognized.

We have ran the numbers. Salvage is the number 1 run atm. It is bring in more than the highest paying illegal run meth. ITS NERFING TIME

It's generating four times more money than the next highest performing run. I honestly can't overstate how absurd the numbers in favour of salvage are right now. Combine that with the fact when you're salvaging in an SDV, you're invisible to the entire map, essentially invulnerable to dying to being robbed in the water and can do this all whole thing AFK tabbing in occasionally to delete a few items and stick it in your vehicle.

As it stands right now salvaging is bad for the health of the server, having large amounts of people invisible able to make nutty money with little to no risk should never be a thing. Being robbed, robbing, and risk vs reward are vital parts of the Altis life gameplay. This broke that and we're finally correcting it.

I feel like we should introduce a way that forces people that does salvage to have to "process" their good by taking it to a appraiser in bumfuck nowhere and then back to town to sell it :)

It’s going down to 80 :) I can’t wait til there’s not 30 people down there afk watching tutorials. Salvage player reports are the worst things ever. Salvage was added for new players to do a safe run to get a little bit of cash to get started on the server. Wasn’t intended for gangs to make millions a day risk free.

+1 right there.. I used to afk salvage all day while working.. its simply too easy.. this will force you to use a boat which can be seen and robbed like any other run.. perhaps a way to balance would be to add another boat (more expensive) with more storage.

LAME, I get robbed a solid 33% of the time.

You just looked at that $$$ I made salvaging so you're going to nerf it.

What's the motorboat going down to? 40 yea?

Then you’re terrible at it or doing it in Kavala. Yes the money is the problem, it’s disgusting how much is made per day compared to the other things where there’s RISK involved. And no the boat isn’t being changed I don’t think because there’s more risk in that because you can be seen and shot in a boat.

There's mad people in Kavala robbing naked 24/7, if someone sees a submarine, boat or vehicle pull up anywhere near salvage and they have a gun you are getting instantly robbed.

And yeah my gang has a pretty good amount of noobs and some regulars, and they run salvage too I'd say between all of us we get robbed more like 25%-33% of the time yes.

I have pointed out to my people that it is ridiculous how much money salvage is making compared to other items and I expected a nerf as soon as I saw the stats about 2 months ago.

I just don't want to go from 280 to 80 just like any other salvage guy would. I didn't expect such a big nerf but I guess if you DROP Scrap Metal, Topaz, White Pearls, Blue Pearls and probably Rum if you don't have a house (which will becoming meaningless besides Rum) it might be worth it still.

I'm can't really hate too much knowing full well salvage right now is OP, having it your way could be better for the server.

PS:

If the motorboat doesn't go down I'll love you all forever, makes sense too the way you said it and a submarine probably doesn't really hold double a motorboat.

WHEN are you gonna give FISHERMAN A CHANCE!

It's going to 80, nothing you say or do will change that, I'm even still gonna push for a price decrease if the numbers are still retarded.
