Altis Life Update - 5/16/18 - Housing Inventory Overhaul

Kurt

12498 views

The crafting will come probably Friday of this week. Just had some stuff we had to figure out that was a bit more complicated than originally thought.

- REMEMBER - with the new inventory system, etc., if it's too good to be true it's probably not intended and you should report what you've found. Please report any and all issues with the new systems directly via PM to Kurt & I. Thank you.

Added:

  • Redesigned house inventory storage
    • Physical/Virtual items now accessed via 'T' menu
    • All crates have been removed from the game, all gear has been transferred to the houses' virtual menu
    • Physical trunk upgrades are now separate from virtual trunk upgrades
    • Anyone who had crates got automatically compensated $150,000 per crate via our transfer system
  • House searching system
    • Visit your local Realtor located in any of the major cities to browse vacant houses in a remote area
    • Ability to view house details such as max virtual/physical inventory
  • Two new vehicles added to the servers available vehicles
    • The Tanoa Jeep offroad with a LIM has been added to a rebel shop near you
    • The Offroad Anti-Tank has been added to the Blackwater loot table
  • Zafir has been added to the Blackwater loot table
    • Magazines will be sold at the warpoint shop
  • Roadkits will now be available for Corporal+
    • Access via Y menu
    • Select desired item and hit the windows key to confirm placement
    • Use the window key to pick up equipment when finished
  • APD now has access to a blue respirator which will act as a teargas mask
  • An optional ability to animate doors on specific vehicles when locking/unlocking them
    • Able to be enabled/disabled from the Settings tab in the y menu (off by default).
  • An additional confirmation menu when purchasing vehicles/clothing which requires un-owned DLC
  • Vehicle Interaction menus (win key menu) now has the ability for you to force yourself into the driver seat of vehicles you don't have the DLC for.
    • APD/RnR/Civilian all have the ability
    • The vehicle must be unlocked, not broken beyond repair, and not have anyone already in the driver seat
    • Note - Scroll wheel will still not work and prompt you to purchase Bohemias DLC (we recommend you purchase it to remove the ads they litter you with).
  • Confirmation menu for cops searching vehicles
  • Gang member's names in the y-menu will now update every server restart
  • Show off your Takwando skills with Shift+8
  • New savable Y-Menu setting option to toggle Lottery Notifications
  • Option to add timestamp to map markers
    • Timestamp will be in "minutes until restart" for ease of reading
  • Added an additional stage of processing to Frog, Heroin, Weed, Cocaine, and Mushroom.
    • Simply process once and scroll for another process option
    • These drugs will always sell at 25% extra of whatever type you're doing
    • Portions of these drugs will go to cartel owners, so cap them cartels for $$!
    • New images will be added with next update
  • Added 3 new goldbar traders across the map
    • Old NPCs that use to accept gold will no longer be accepting Goldbars

Changed:

  • Houses will now expire after 45 days of not interacting with them instead of 60
  • All illegal items got a buff in sell price
  • New Neochori & Kavala Vigilante Outpost design
  • New Sofia APD HQ design
  • Blackwater & Warpoint Changes
    • RPG Launcher removed from war point shop to Blackwater exclusive - RPG ammunition still sold at war point shop
    • Mar-10 removed from war point shop to Blackwater exclusive - Mar-10 ammunition still sold at war point shop
    • Each Blackwater crate now spawns an additional two Pilot Coveralls on top of the current loot table
  • Mod Shops at gas stations now have a repair vehicle only option. At this time it's a complimentary repair.
  • Salvage sale prices have been slightly reduced to be more in-line with other legal runs
  • APD 911 calls now update locations if another 911 call is made by the same player
  • Time since request on the dispatch menu and map for medics will show the time since the player first requested medic (no longer resets after subsequent requests)
  • APD lethal money cap reduced to $200,000 from $600,000
  • APD money earned from arrests reduced by 10%
  • "Put in Car" will now select vehicles of the player's own faction before others.
  • Vigilantes will now receive an arrest towards their vigilante tier for sending a suspect's bones they tased/restrained to jail
  • Weight of jail charges has been halved. So you should spend less time in jail for petty crime.
  • Excavating can only be done at a few select locations on the map now, they're marked with a purple boat icon.
  • You can now windows key revive a player with a Epipen or if you want to you can use the Y-menu still
  • Gang member names will now update quite frequently to have their most current name in your Y-menu roster
    • You can hover over a name to get their playerid.
  • Some optimizations
  • Now if a vigilante goes to jail he/she will only drop down a rank of vigilante
    • May get removed depending on if it's showing undesirable results

Fixed:

  • Medic Ambulance texture fixed
  • Tasing timer should no longer reset when a tased player is pulled out of a vehicle
  • The ability to terminate the escort mission should not show up after the vehicles have spawned.
  • View distances should now update properly when you get in to and out of vehicles. (Please post feedback on the tracker if this is not the case).
  • When winning the lottery you shouldn't lose your money anymore.
  • Submarines will no longer have the ability to upgrade turbo at mod shops
  • Support uniform removed from public use (should be at least)
    • Support team can now use rank 2 for white-listing abilities.

Removed:

  • Some unused code, files, and stuff

Hotfix #1:

  • Houses will now only cost $150,000 per physical upgrade (those who spent money on upgrades have received some compensation directly to their bank accounts)
  • Physical storage upgrades will now upgrade by 150 instead of 100 (already purchased storage has been adjusted) (applies to gang sheds as well)
  • Vigilante arrests will now properly set on the player when sending someone to jail
  • Turtles can now be harvested once again
  • APD can now EpiPen each other with windows key as well
  • The new double process drugs have received some new icons
  • Oil upgrade cost will properly display now
  • If for some reason your housing weight becomes skewed it should automatically fix itself
  • APD dispatches will now appear properly
  • Item dupe fixed

Hotfix #2:

  • Apd will now detect when illegal second processed drugs are in a vehicle
  • Houses that didn't have any physical storage has been fixed and your homes will now have storage as proper.

APD receive buff after buff after buff since the servers went live and receive a nerf and the sky is falling.  Your income will be lessened obviously but the fraction it costs to be effective on the APD is still by far in your favour when it comes to money.

I know not every situation can be resolved with tasers but god forbid you occasionally try to capture someone.

This 100%. The folks saying civs are getting buffs every update aren’t paying attention to the updates and are quick to forget the massive amount of apd buffs over the last year.

let me also say this to the current corporals who feel entitled as fuck about their lethal money. We did just fine back in my time when the max you could get from a lethal was 25k and it didn’t split. Should be very grateful that the 200k cap will eventually not be split. I have zero sympathy for the bitching about this, you’re role playing cops, if you wanna make money go play civ.

Well can we get them to not cut between all the cops in the area then cause thats like 50k from a lethal unless you are the only/last cop alive... like if im pushing a tower with 6 other cops thats kinda aids like as a corporal who uses fed's to pay for insurance and shit this is really aids not sure if you could force it to split to only me and someone else or something like that but just does not seem.

Lets say you are fighting a fed against trident and they all have 600k bounties give or take you have 5 other cops slamming with you. You push up get a lethal previously this would have given you each 100k okay how bout with this change now you are getting 33k if you get 5 lethals(Usually you get less or get people who have already been lethaled) during a fed all at max price which i most people are you are getting 150k where you were previously getting roughly 500k a very significant drop especially my main problem with how sudden of a drop it is. Like cop is no means about the money but really hurts to see this like now if I get tased but lethal 1 before being restrained or something with other cops around I mght not even have enough to rebuy my loadout you want to talk about getting buffing illegal well making it the primary source of income for corporals who can pull the vehicles that quickly and efficiently search them does not seem like its going to be that great.

I understand the motives behind this decision but you have to remember many if not all of the people who are active lethals in the APD primarily only play Cop or play civ in a more administrative role. And all these orcas and shit have a cost associated with them

You don’t seem to realize. Everytime you lethal someone, for the most part, they lose 150k-300k+ in a loadout and instead of you even losing something when you die all that happens is you lose a mag. Tell me how you are bitching about getting PAID to kill people. You know what a civ gets from killing a cop? A bounty that I must either PAY off or PAY when sent to jail.

If you are having an issue with the dreadful orca insurance and oh no 100k? loadout every other day you get robbed then the problem is you.

Back in my day the APD didn't even have ghosthawks and when they where added the ammo was stripped from them there was also no mod shop so no insurance.  If you lost a vehicle you actually lost it for good.

Kids these days don't know how good they got it.

Getting lethaled does not stop you from calling a medic. Now I know the cops can wait there and take your gun from you afterward but that rarely occurs.

If your at warzone or federal events medic rarely show up.

Ontop of that the cops will spam cop and medic channel telling medics to fuck off and they have to listen because otherwise they will get demoted. The only way to get a medic to rev you after this is if a gang member takes them hostage or brings an epi and then that person is now risking their loadout also.

Yeah dude like I bet these goons don’t even remember that the 200k cap was put at 200k from 25k because of cop splitting, now they’re keeping it at 200k without split. Tfw this is actually a cop buff LOL

For starters, you're autistic.

To my actual talking points. I played cop for nearly two years, and was corporal for almost an entire year. So don’t act like, "oh I’ve played for 2 months, I know everything". Ground vehicles have to be upgraded or you won’t catch suspects, simple as that. And for corporals and up, helis can cost a lot for a couple reasons. 1. We can’t just be careful with our heli and if we’re about to get shot, just fly away. Our job is to stop the people who shoot at us and do illegal things, which means we can’t fuckin auto hover land just to be safe. This means we put our helicopters right in the line of fire each time we chase someone. When you only play cop as a corporal, which I have done, you fly a lot of helis and in turn, lose a lot of helis. So, don’t tell me it doesn’t cost that much for vehicles. I played for 3-4 months straight only as cop while I was a corporal, and I had several stretches where all I did was lose money. In that stretch of time, I had a net profit of 1-2 million. If I spent that much time making money on civ, I could’ve made more than 50 mil. Even after the increase to 600k, I still struggled to make a profit while on cop. Also, most corporals have enough brain cells to lethal when it may even be slightly necessary. I rarely lethaled fresh spawns with pdubs even if I could. Also, part of the reason we would decide to lethal is because of how autistic and annoying the kids we were fighting were. Don’t tell me "it’s what you signed up for", cause it isn’t. I signed up to roleplay with people when I arrest them, not scream their head off. This is a roleplay server, not a bitchfest server, although that’s what it feels like when I see people like you are on the server.

Come in here again thinking you’re the shit and you know everything, and I’ll fuck your shit up.

Why is there nothing on the in game market show how much the second version of cocaine, mushroom, or frog sells for?

Tyrone

Yeah a house I had with 4 crates in a 4 crater, is now 928/400 max 4 crater if upgraded. Then if I go to 2 more of my other houses they are 900+/400. In total I have 2632 space taken up between 3 houses. Even if this was split between 5 different 4 craters it would not be enough room as it was before (Thats a max of 2000 total space). I found if people have mags for the guns they have stored, space gets eaten up quickly. Some can argue that just deleting the mags can help me, however the mags that I'm storing are mags for just for cop guns that you cannot buy. Just seems like some things don't add up with the old system. A way this could be fixed, is to increase space for each house, make mags and other small things half or next to nothing to store. Overall the new physical system is really cool and is a lot cleaner, however in my opinion needs a little adjustment with the values. Any counters/ feedback on this would be good thanks :).

Could be that maybe Jesse has it so when you sell double processed heroin it’ll just affect the heroin industry as a whole not just that individual heroin double processed section

Nah because there is Black heroin On the market but nothing else that has a double process.

I've played more cop than you.

Anyway to school you here, the lethal cap was raised to 600k from 200k because lethals were bugged and barely ever paid out. That has been solved for a while now, so it's back to where it was originally intended to be. But go ahead and talk about how you somehow "Deserved" the raise for literally no other reason beyond "I just want more money." I'd expect more than a kneejerk response from a corporal.

Lol there’s gonna be a lot of butt hurt corporals that were overly lethal happy. Good change.

Also very solid patch I’m liking all the changes, keep it up!

I don't play anymore, but when I see kids as retarded as you, it hurts me not to say something. I also don't need money whatsoever, as I still have nearly 12 mil. And if you think I suck dick, you're dead wrong, cause if I sucked Olympus dick, I would have gotten a lot farther in this community than I did, but I have more integrity than to do that. You seriously are autistic though, and my brain cells are literally dying with every word you say.

So, I'm just wondering what the logic was behind nerfing salvage so hard. I can understand the price reduction, but taking away half the wrecks on the map seems a bit far. Yes some were out of the way, but using those also required you to be far more creative. Additionally, the removal of my favourite salvage connoisseur stings a bit as well. I'd love to see it go back to the depth rule versus the marked and Southwest centric wrecks we have now.

Just my two cents.
